I don't want Leach. But the consensus on here want him so that's fine. I can accept that. I'm definitely not ticked or embarrassed by this guy like Schiano and Doeren (losers). But my main problem I can't get past is how do you not at least meet with Tee Martin? I can understand if you want a coach with head experience. But for a unique situation like this we owe it to at least meet with Tee. He may give a perfect explanation why he is ready. Now if he becomes a rockstar head coach he will come kick our backside some day. It's a travesty. My point though is Leach the pirate makes the majority happy which is cool but Currie still deserves to be punished.

Credible source within the AD is telling me that Mike Leach will file a restraining order on John Currie shortly after he signs the contract in order to keep Currie as far away from the football program as possible.

Before that he'll put the cry babies in a dark room.

Listen brother, Tee is young. Leach is old. The opportunity for Tee to lead this team will come soon enough. Just not in 2018.

situationally speaking, leach is a victory.

he was not even on my list two weeks ago, and really, he shouldn't be. But, as we sit here today, it may be the best thing that could happen, and it probably won't ever result in an SEC championship. we're not a good program right now, and i agree with you in merit.

but let's not remain focused solely on Currie. it's Currie and Haslam. Currie is not out there making this stuff up on his own, pullinig this stuff out of thin air.

he was given instructions on what to do with Schiano, and when that blew up, they've been in full on crisis mode.

so, yes, i agree. just don't forget the benefactor that made all this possible.

Mike Leach is a good hire IMO, but I agree that Currie should be fired regardless. If we end up with Leach, it's almost by sheer dumb luck. Currie inexplicably had to go through several 3rd, 4th, and 5th tier candidates to even arrive at Leach. If fans didn't go into open revolt on Sunday, Currie would have happily made the most disastrous hire in college football history. How do you keep a guy like that?

And unlike the football program, which is the golden egg, fans aren't going to stop Currie from making terrible hires in every other sport. Maybe women's basketball, but I suspect even with our passionate fanbase there, it wouldn't be enough to stop another poor hire. K State people have all said Currie was terrible. He had contentious relationships with virtually every coach at the school. He ran Frank Martin out of town. He tried to run Bill Snyder out of town. Running Bill Snyder out at K State would be like trying to run Saban out at Alabama.

Currie cannot be trusted. Absolutely terrible AD. If fans and boosters hadn't intervened twice, we would've ended up with Schiano and then likely Doeren (who I personally feel only rejected b/c he saw it was a bad situation for him.) As fans, we can't babysit Currie 24-7.
