The issue isn't whether or not they vetted him. The big issue is did they really have no freaking clue how this would go over with the fanbase? The minute I heard he might potentially be a candidate this came to mind. These guys are ridiculously out of touch. And if Schiano really was the primary target from the outset I have no faith whatsoever in them getting us a good coach.
