Well KB, I had some good back and forth with you in the recruiting threads a few years back. But, if I am wrong on this I have already committed to delete this account and start all over with a newb account. I don’t want to. But if I am going to come in here and claim this, it’s only fair. Hope to see you in the recruiting boards again soon, cause that will be my focus in the rebuild again

We all make decisions in our jobs everyday and we all make mistakes. BUT, this was Curries biggest and most important one he will ever make and he couldn't have screwed it up more. He could have picked any other guy out there, Norville, etc..and he would have had complaints, but not the total backlash he's getting.

Only from other unconfirmed “sources” of information like me. I have not been told anything by admin or boosters. I have two people one on the player side and one with a relationship to a booster that have fed me injury and behind the scenes information for a few years. One of them told me Gruden was a done deal and that in the past 24 hours that former players have felt betrayed by the situation. The other is what told me Currie is done and cannot survive the environment that has been created in Knoxville.

I probably shouldn’t have posted anything, but I did and I’ll let my account rest with it

I think OP is playing us all for jerks. Even if the Schiano hire is not true, Currie has allowed it to become a national embarrassment. He sat in the Bahamas watching basketball games while other schools were closing the best coaching prospects. Now, come to find out that Greg Schiano is Currie's choice. I thought Currie was a smart guy, but this smells. The name Fulmer in the same sentence with "hire" does not excite me in a good way, either. Dave Clawson was Fulmer's last hire, for Offensive Coordinator. Some of us remember the Clawfence, a disaster which cost Fulmer his job.

I don't see how he can survive it. PR nightmare for him, White House even chimed in. Will the clown show ever stop up there? It's downright embarrassing anymore.

My common sense tells me that there is no way that Currie survives this! He disgraced our institution today and I bet General Neyland has turned over in his grave by the thought of hiring a coach who had the opportunity but took no action to stop a child from being sexually abused. Currie has deceived and lied to the UT fan base. He has to be terminated.

currie is not going to be fired. this is utter nonsense. bad judgement but not a fireable situation. just be happy schiano isnt coming and move along.

Tennessee cursed our coaching hires by doing Fulmer wrong and now looks to have done the same at AD by doing Blackburn wrong.

Tennessee deserves all the s*** coming their way..
