Currie had one job here. One freaking job. And he not only failed, he spectacularly failed. He failed more than any human has ever failed. I'm not sure there could have been a scenario of him failing any worse than he did.
There is no reason one of these two outcomes doesn't happen today:
1. Resign to save a shred dignity
2. Be released for gross negligence and incompetence
Currie sitting there with that arrogant, stupid smirk on his face. I still cannot believe that that jackass actually thought this was a good idea. I knew this guy was going to be trouble from day one. I suppose he figured that us dumb ole southern boys would just fall in line and bend over again.
He is so far out of touch I don't have words to describe how deplorable this move was.
But I'm just repeating what everyone else has said.
well they are paid to say and do something, get a letter, have it vetted by a lawyer and read it aloud to the media and fans, then sit and take f'n questions on this debacle....
Currie has caused Tennessee to be the laughing stock of the sports world, his credibility is now out the window. Now no coach will want to come to Tennessee as long as he's the AD......Currie must be fired immediately no if and or butts:twocents:
It's Day Two.... let the smoke clear enough for the AD and the lawyers to see the "Exit" sign. This was not a SNAFU, this was a serious breach of common decency and respect for the University, the football program AND the fans.
