1.3 million salary+1.6 million buyout=2.9 million guaranteed
contract. 1.8 million salary+1 million buyout=2.8 million guaranteed contract. Explain to me how 2.8million is 500 thousand more then 2.9 million. Is that the new common core math? Ever hear of something called a petition?

A buyout is not salary.

Oh yeah!! The dreaded petition which had CCM signature on it several times. The petition is bogus and no I did not sign it. Even CCM said it had no impact, so is everyone calling him a liar?

Lmao you do realize that Cuonzo took over a 6 time tourney team and took them too two NIT's with an awesome record of 39-28 his first two years...CDT took over a tourney team and not only improved the number of wins the previous years team had he had the most wins in the history of Southern Miss basketball. CDT went 56-17 in two years at USM and Cuonzo went 61-41. So in two years CDT was 5 wins shy of tying how many wins Cuonzo got in 3. You are a troll man. And if you could read I said I live about 30 min from Morehead, not in Morehead.

A team that was projected to be 11th in the conference, finished number 2.

He really underachieved. Yes.:good!:

Did that #2 finish lead to a NCAA tourney bid? Didn't think so. Might as well have finished 11th, especially with the loss in Not In Tournament tournament. :whistling:

Funny how the Pearl backers basically moved on and threw their support to the new regime, whereas the Counzo crew remains stuck in some weird mourning phase and refuse to be consoled.

Ah well... they say time heals all wounds.

Lol glad I wasn't either so I can sit back and watch the show :)

The buyout wasn't 1.6 million before, it was 1.3 million which adds up to 2.6 not 2.9. So if he'd continued on his prior contract and gotten fired next year he'd have still made 200,000 dollars less than he would have with his new contract/buyout.

BTO, the bottom line is this, CDT is right. If they can't or won't do the workout like he wants it done then bye. He doesn't have time to deal with players who don't do it his way. He's the coach, they are the players. The players do not run the show. Any GOOD coach knows this.
This workout thing is so bizarre , what makes you think that a work out for a D1 player will weed out players. This isn't like boot camp in the military, these athletes have been running up and down the floor millions of miles. To keep bring up "the workout run these players off" is CrAzY:crazy:!

This will not change your mind, here are the first year and the records of both coaches. You might also want to look at the teams that these coaches played their first year:whistling:!

Ppl. CuonZo was an average coach. He did nothing special while here, that is why I say he was avg Cdt is putting in some work. We will have a new commitment in a few days who is very skilled according to 247. We might have lucked up cdt like we did with cbj

CCM left Tyndall a roster that included 8 top 200 recruits, Tyndall has lost 7 of them, that's his own damn fault. Who left when Martin took over?

This perception that the kind of attrition taking place is normal is complete nonsense.

Are you insane? You make it sound as if Tyndall has done something awful by taking over the position your loverboy Martin abandoned. Get a damn grip man.

JMO, it is a mixture of a lot of things. One is that typically in coaching changes at UT, you get the exact polar opposite of what you had before. The styles are extremely different between CCM and CDT. Another is that CCM had the team truly believing in the "family" aspect and it was them against the world (mainly their own fan base). So in other words, you mess with a member of the family, you mess with the whole family. The team cared deeply for CCM just as he cared for them. I know some of the players read these boards and they still see their "family member" being trashed. They felt just as under appreciated as CCM during the season and now it is a different environment with the majority of the "family" being gone.

Well yungins we fixin to start a whole new FAMILY!!! Your new Daddy wants you to stay but if you ain't feeling it...he left the door unlocked! :aggressive:

I posted elsewhere "The Don-Father" was taking applicants to join the "Family" by making them an offer they can't refuse. But if they do, they'll find themselves sleeping with the fishes (metaphorically speaking). Lol

If this comes together completely I can't remember when we had a better perimeter group than what we'll have next season.
Suarez, Punter, Hubbs, Mostella, and Richardson is a really exciting group would rank really high even in the SEC.

Let's not forget Moore.

Question,

How long do we have to fill up our roster before recruiting is cut off? I know I should probably know when bball recruiting ends but I haven't followed it as closely as football in the past. All these recent events have gotten me more into UT hoops recruiting though.

There's no deadline
