Current coordinators

I know that Tennessee will try and get a current head coach or one that has head coach experience. However, there are some outstandingly coordinators that could be considered. I personally think that Tennessee would look for a defensive mind coach if we go the coordinator route. I hope we do hire a proven head coach but if not my picks would be..

1. Brent Venables
2. Jeremy Pruitt
3. Dave Amanda
4. Tee Martin

Oh this is grand. Please tell me how Tee Martin will be looking for a new job when his offense is currently 18-3 since he, not Helton, inserted Sam Darnold into the starting slot.

Please give me exact examples and proof that he is on the hot seat

Also everyone thinks Venables is great.....and yea I agree he is a good DC (but for me not as good as Durkin or Steele).

But over the past 5 or so years Venables teams have averaged exactly 20.5 points per game given........Chip Kelly's teams gave up exactly 21.5 ppg and everyone says his D's were garbage.

Again yea Venables is a fine coach but maybe not as dominate as most think.

Martin is one of if not the hottest OC names out there. Not sure why people has a problem with that.....but he has proven himself everywhere he has been.....

Not to mention he is the nations # 9 recruiter as of last year.....and is expected to go higher......and many above him (as a recruiter) are head coaches.

Uh, I’m not to sure about that. Wasn’t he run off by Georgia and Notre Dame? Coordinators can look good one year and bad the next. Depends on their jimmys and joes , and their competition and situation. Hell we thought our current d.c. was great. How’s that working out. He may go somewhere else and be great.

He’s a career mercenary. He jumped around so much Mullen was only one that would take him and he got a steal by keeping Grantham in Starkville.

I think Chip Lindsey would be a nice outside of the box hire. He's worked with some very good offensive minds, had success as a coordinator and won multiple state titles as a HS head coach. He would also recruit metro Atlanta very well.

need to add Greg Schiano to that list of coordinators. and for me, if that's what you're choosing from, it's him or Venebles imo. none of the other three would do a think for me, except tell me we're in trouble.:)
