Cuonzo is a "Jumper" just like Dooley was.

Bruce Pearl was a "ladder" climber. You can put Butch Jones as "ladder" climber as well. Every school they go to was a step better but they were always able to excel what the expectations were. At lease I am hoping so with CBJ..but....

Let's get a "ladder" climber!

You have noticed the recruits. You have noticed the lack of a true point guard. You have noticed that we havnt had a pure shooter since Lofton. And om sure you have noticed WE ARE TENNESSEE.

We have become so accustomed to firing/losing coaches that we think its justified to fire a guy who has been here for only two seasons in a sport that's not even football. One of which being 20 wins and the other 19.

People have been calling for Martin's head the day he was hired because he isn't Bruce. Regardless if he has the 3rd highest winning percentage in the SEC they still think he needs to be fired.

FYP.

I see what you're going for here and hopefully CBJ will be successful, but let's not count our chickens before they hatch.

I think good things are coming our way and we will see some improvement in attitude this season. The wins will come in time.

There's no way the defense can be worse than what we saw last year and I doubt we will see the same p*ssy, defeatist attitude of 2012, but be patient.

Tennessee football wasn't built in a single season.

Patience, my friend.

GBO! VFL!

Sorry. I didn't know if this fell into the realm of football or basketball.

In either case, give CCM and CBJ the time to bring in their guys.

Good things are on the horizon, Vol Nation.

Why the hell do so many people want to get rid of Cuonzo? This was only his 2nd year. Did he make the tournament? No, but we did get some big wins against teams like Kentucky and Florida that we can build on for next season. If Dooley got a third year then you better believe Cuonzo will too since he's actually been able to win some big games. People need to stop complaining and just wait to see what we do next season. If we have the same results and miss the tournament, then I'm all for going in a different direction, but he gets one more year to prove himself and I think he will succeed.

Not sure that I get all the outrage on what should be a community of vols fans. OP is sharing his opinion and the fact that he has chosen to do so publicly suggests he's interested in hearing from others. He's seen two years of inconsistent play (yes, Maymon's injury was a huge factor this year) and I presume frustrated by that.

I don't believe it's time to fire the coach. I don't think it should even be up for debate yet. Unfortunately, for today's college coaches in football and basketball, fans and media have a short fuse. As a result, we, too, have impatient fans. Disagree with them, but can we please stop the outrage over "haters"? This isn't unique to the b-ball board, either. So many posts are simply people writing "fail" or personal shots at people's intelligence.

Go Vols - here's to CBJ and CCM.:hi:

Cuonzo is recruiting well and had a decent record in SEC games. Getting Stokes out of the Memphis area was something Pearl couldn't do. He deserves at least one or two more years.

The only thing the OP was doing was trying to elicit a disgruntled response.

I think he deserves another year. If he doesnt make tourney or finish top 5 sec then he needs to be fired next year, we will be loaded next year, enough talent to be top15.

So are you complaining about Martin or Pearl? You do know Pearl inherited Lofton don't you?

see the recruits this year, love BP but he got into hot water, program suffered because of that, ie; chris jones, and it has taken a couple years to get back. give Zo this next year, we will be dancing in the big dance.

Unreal how some so-called "fans" overreact after 19 and 20 win seasons and a 2nd and 5th place finish in a 14 team league. Give the man a chance, he lost his best player in Maymon and somehow still managed to beat FL, Mizzou and KY. With Maymon, based on what I have seen in the NCAA tourney this year, we would have been a Sweet 16 team. Hopefully everyone stays healthy next season and we make our 2nd Elite 8 appearance and possibly Final 4 if we get the right match-up.

Most of the "fans" overreacting are ones I've not seen post all year long. Amazing how experts have come out the woodworks.

Please stop with this nonsense of CCM being fired. He has only been with this team 2 yrs. Had Pippen and Harris stayed around his first year his winning record would have been great, but you would probably would complain that he was playing with Pearls recruits. Any excuse to get the liar back in.

Could we please give the man 1 more freaking year before we judge him?

Lol sounds exactly like me after Dools second season. But I agree, Zo deserves another year. Bruce spoiled us so we expect our BB team to be like that every season now but Zo could be doing much worse. Overall 39–28 and 21–13 in the SEC isn't cause for firing imo.
