I think we are heading into a major thinning in the ranks of the roster and soon. There are going to be a bunch of players leaving and the spring practice may have the fewest number of players suiting up in a long time.

And this is a good thing.

Get rid of the cancers, losers and quitters and do the final de-Butching exorcism this program needs. It's coming and needed.

I am curious at how all that works. We get 25 recruits or thereabouts. I am guessing Pruitt can backfill those underclassmen that go pro. Will we have any? JJ and Callaway come to mind, maybe even Bituli. But the ones he pulls in the office and lets them know they need to move on down the highway.. that frees up scholarships too.

Someone said Saban did this between his first and second year at Alabama. How did he go about it? Anybody have the numbers on how many didn't make it back to year 2? Would be a good historical study for someone to conduct.

If that is the case, we may end up with many many freshman and Juco's for Spring practice. Would love to hear comments.

I’m on board with this, for the most part these players do not have any interest in representing this university, therefore I have no interest in them. Good riddance.

No doubt, some will leave; however, in his post-game news conference, he said we would have plenty of guys to have healthy competition at every position. Not sure how you do that in Spring Practice if you get rid of a bunch right now.
