Top sirloin is an underrated cut of beef.

That is all.
I was going to cook some steaks on a iron skillet is why I am doing this and Google told me to put neutral oil on the skillet and put in oven at 400 upside-down for a hour and I used crisco and now I am having to clean a oven. I found out what neutral oil was the hard way.

tl;dr

Is this before or after the dishwasher? It might need 4-5 wash cycles.

Another option is to fill your washing machine with hot water and about a gallon of bleach. Just grab the skillet (carefully) before it hits the spin cycle. Drying is not necessary.

What did you find out about neutral oil and what type of oil is crisco?

Why are you having to clean your oven? Maybe because you didn't follow my instructions after I spent all that time typing it out? Lol.

This was before I asked you how to clean it.

Before I asked you I asked Google and it told me to put neutral oil which is avocado oil or coconut oil or peanut oil I put crisco shortening on it and put it in the oven upside down and it dripped and smoked and stunk. This was last night. So I asked you and appreciate your instructions and will use it.

Lulz, just giving you a hard time.

All of those oils are fine, so is crisco its a neutral oil. All of those including crisco will drip when they get hot. Thats why I said make sure you get as much of it off of the skillet as you can AND put it upside on a sheet pan. The sheet pan is so any excess oil you didn't get off will drip onto the sheet pan.

I got a deal at Publix on top sirloin and blackened a 4oz cut last night in my small iron skillet. I love anything blackened.
