I believe thatMy daughter went with her best friend and another friend shopping today. They te t buffalo wild wings, nd her friend brought back her leftovers, she's spending the night. They're not really wings, it's cauliflower, and she talked me into trying one. Honey bbq, so I figured why not, but ewwww. Nastiest thing I've ever eaten![]()
If you've ever eaten a baked potato without sour cream, that cauliflower wasn't the nastiest thing you've ever eaten.My daughter went with her best friend and another friend shopping today. I do. It's really good. Aunt B's on the Milligan HWY had the best cheeseburger in the Tri while I was in college. Growing up, I played baseball at Persimmon Ridge in Jonesborough. Used to be a Willy's out there that had the best burger. They changed ownership and it went a little downhill. The original owners opened a smaller place in Bowmantown. I say all that to say it's probably nostalgia, but I just haven't found a burger in the Tri that compares to either of those places these days.My wife and I just got in from a local place called Sloopy's....best cheeseburger in the Tri Cities, I think...8 oz cheeseburger, fries, sweet tea, and full belly
@volfanbill you know the place?
Edit: always like to support the local places, so here's the webpage if anyone is ever over this way - Sloopy's Diner :: 819 N. Eastman Road Kingsport, TN 37664 :: Home of the 2lb Burger
Gray is still Washington County. They did some heavy county rezoning when they moved Boone's Creek practically to Jonesborough though.Our workdays start on the 10th. I think students come back on the 15th.
Now here in Kingsport, the city schools start Monday. One grandchild in 7th, one in 5th, one in 3rd, one in K.
I'm not certain about Bristol City or Sullivan County.
I was driving by the Appalachian fairgrounds a couple of days ago and noticed that Gray Elementary starts back on Monday also, but that annexing is crazy and I am honestly not certain if that school is part of Johnson City schools or if it's still in the Washington County system.
I encourage students to read Salinger. We have a couple of copies in the school library. I talk about it a lot. And Kerouac. And the Merry Pranksters. hahaha
I do some Donne in 11th, as well as Browning's "The Last Duchess" and "Porphyria's Lover."
There's a restaurant here in town that makes this Asian style cauliflower app that is the bomb and you can't tell it's cauliflowerI believe that
only way I can eat cauliflower is if it is roasted with broccoli in some spices
not boiled
not fried
not raw, not even covered in ranch dressing
not ever
and I am not a "picky eater"
