A few of my co-workers recommended Game of thrones (said it was awesome). I have remained skeptical of watching for some of the reasons you have mentioned.

A few of my co-workers recommended Game of thrones (said it was awesome). I have remained skeptical of watching for some of the reasons you have mentioned.

I was hesitant because I generally avoid shows that lots of people are telling me to watch. Also my wife doesn't typically like fantasy pieces at all.

Having said that, I tried a few episodes and after about 3 episodes we were all in. It' was a great series and really well done.

I only watched one episode of the Witcher and though it was cornyt but maybe I didn't watch enough episodes.

GOT is intense with lots of plot twists and great character building. It's more than just fantasy action. It's a lot of character relationships and you can't skip any episodes or you'll get lost.
