this is absolute horse crap. ASICS does make quality shoes. But there are several other brands in the same boat. And the different styles and support levels of each different model of ASICS affect anyone’s feet differently. Just like the other top brands.

There are brooks that I like, brooks that I hate. Ons that I love, Ons that I can’t wear. Same with Altra, Mizuno, Topo Athletic, and Saucony. Only pair of ASICS that work for me are the Kayanos, and they are magnificent. The rest don’t conform to my feet and gait. I love Ons. After my recent injuries, I’ve tried Ons, Saucony, ASICS, Topo Athletic, and Altras. I wear Topo Athletic for the gym and sprints, Ons for long distance running. The best running/walking shoe is the shoe the feels the best to the individual wearer. And each model from each different brand is quite different from each of that same brand’s other model.
There are drunk preachers shootin the gospel gun from the pulpit ever Sunday. I call them damn fools too.
Like I said, my experience with the people that wear specialty shoes.....they bitch the most & quit the fastest. By all indications, you would be in the bitch class

Gotcha. So yesterday was the fluke, not the other times.

@volfanbill & @Behr I don't care what kinda shoes ya'll wear. Wear tojo yamamoto shoes if you want too. We are all different.
Behr, make it fun, challenge yourself & compression wear is your friend
I was a click away from ordering a pair, then saw this. Seems it's one of those things that might be great for one and no use to another.

According to research, the supposed benefits for performance are mostly unfounded. A review of studies involving runners wearing compression clothing found no statistically significant improvement in performance. Runners' speed and stamina were unaffected by wearing compression clothing.

Only compression I wear is undershorts to minimize chafing. Probably close to 20 half marathons, 4 full marathons, six ultra relay races and two regular relay races, loose but not baggy clothing and really good socks are mostly all I need.

But I bit** and quit fast. What do I know

Hey bud, we are not looking for "performance" in compression at our age. It's all bout the support benefits. Old people are flabby. This stuff holds it everything together. It works.
Anything 80/20 (80% Polyester/ 20% Lycra Spandex is perfect
CW-X & 2XU is what I use. Don't be confused by all the different styles the manufactures put out. Its all the same with different names
