Okay Mikey, I'll bite.

You know I love me some Dixie Chicks. You put that in this thread and a "roll eyes" emoji. Why are you rolling your eyes? Did you read the article and know why they dropped Dixie?

most people will think its because of all the other stuff getting changed - but yes you have to read the article to know that another band has the name also -- thats the clincher and it should have been in the headline - I liked Dixie in the name better but thats just me I guess

The other band has the name "The Chicks" already.
They dropped the Dixie to meet the current times.

Lulz. No, they reached out to the other band and asked if they could share the name with them before they did anything.

They are changing it because of the "times", and they should. Lady Antebellum already changed theirs and made a public comment that the Dixie chicks should too.

Lady A really didn't need to, IMO...but Dixie Chicks did. They already have a hill to climb, this should help more than it hurts. IMO.
