Anybody else like The story of Camelot? Probably my favorite. Though I would've whipped Arthur and Lancelot's butt, and took the girl 😆

That a movie?

First Knight was good. One of my favorite KA movies. King Arthur with Clive Owen and Keira Knightly was the best. One of my all time favorite movies period. Loved the frozen lake scene.

Read “The Once and Future King”, from which “Camelot” was taken. Phenomenally misogynistic, but wonderfully written, from a deep knowledge of some of the source literature (he wrote his thesis on Malory’s Le Morte d’Arthur).

He wrote the original short novels (later combined) around the same time as Tolkien was writing The Hobbit, and The Once and Future King was published in the 50’s, about the time that The Lord of the Rings came out.

Just watched that one, and agree about the lake scene. Keira Knightly, always liked her.
