Culinary, Arts, Thread.

Okay, serious question. If someone had a weapon on you (gun, knife, etc), you going down swinging, or would you fold? Dude on tv just got in the trunk and got shot. No way I'm crawling in the trunk, they may shoot me, but I'd be fighting first. I've actually had a gun pulled on me. Had a dude arrested for shoplifting in ky, cops let him go before my shift was even over😄. And of course he came back with a gun. I didn't even think, just started swinging, then rolled him up like a pretzel till the cops got there. Not saying " I'm so tough", though I am😁. It's just not in me to not fight back.
My natural instinct is to slap and kick when I'm startled. (I slapped the owner of our company last Thursday because he walked up behind me and started talking....he wasn't even trying to scare me.) I'll get shot for sure.

I'm the same way, if I really get scared I'm swinging or kicking😄

that one is my favorite too

Have you ever tried making them, either partially or completely? You can find good shells (Scorcie) at a specialty store and make the filling, Mario's Meat Market here in town sells them already made, the raw dough, the shells already made, the ingredients to make them etc. I like to make them from scratch but I don't often. I do have a killer recipe I might share if you ever wanted to try.

@Behr is there any difference for the home cook using granulated garlic vs powdered garlic? I use the minced stuff in a jar, and powder. I rarely buy fresh. I just never use it up and end up throwing it away.

I use a lot of granulated garlic at home and off the top of my head only use powder for soup, marinades, dressings or sauces. I usually have a small jar of the Spice World minced garlic in the fridge for back up and sometimes for my honey, but I'm a loyal fresh garlic disciple. I enjoy peeling garlic, about 85% of the time.

Speaking of goats spelled backwards.

Me and a friend.....looooong story short, we kept a log of our lives for 3 years living on the beach, we call it The Book. Part of it was us using words spelled backwards as a code. We still use words like that today, 20 years later. My favorite I used several times today, Stoidi. The ff is full of the Stoidi. Stoid- I.

I know. Kewl stary bra.

Me and a few friends in high school came up with an alphabet. We all had a copy to decipher letters we would write which were abput girls normally. Mostly just symbols that replaced a letter. It was fun.

We also made up words that had specific meaning, and I still use some. Itchy itchy bob bob flappy hanger is by far my favorite, and it's not dirty.

@Behr , you'd like this movie. It's actually based at the university of Florida. I hope the alligators eat everyone now!
