A mystery. There was an ambulance parked behind a hedge that I didn’t see. They eventually carried out what looked like one of the tenants on the stretcher and drove off. The three officers lounged around in front of our house, chatting.

My guess would have been a Narcan (OD) run, but why three police? There used to be a beautiful old house down the street being used illegally as a halfway house, and there were a couple of Narcan runs, but they were strictly fire dept responses with some poor guy in full turn-out gear trudging to the house with his kit bag. (We finally got the city to take action on that and evict them. Awesome idea to have a halfway house a block from Haywood Rd, the equivalent of The Strip.)

Strictly wild-hare guess: police responded to a disturbance call, someone was tased or something, and EMS (not fire dept) was then called? I dunno.

It’s too damn hot for excitement.

I like that crust that he got on them. I still haven’t pulled that off. Mine seem, well, blackened compared to his.

Learning to sear sea scallops is a painfully expensive lesson!

Actually a stab in the dark for me on my comment. I really wouldn’t know. I’ve only had them once, in Virginia Beach.

Yes. He travels around the world. They make it sound like he does crazy things while also experiencing local cuisine. Looks interesting. I'll at least watch the first episode. It's on the National Geographic channel though, not regular networks.

Thanks, hadn’t seen anything advertised. Will look for it.
