I bet I’m the only person in here that doesn’t really like bacon. After you go through some health scares, it just tastes greasy and bad to me anymore.

I had a chili once where they said their secret ingredient was chocolate. No wonder why it was nasty. Just doesn't go together!

I tasted a chocolate chili once at a restaurant (can’t remember the name). It was not good at all. Tasted very twangy with a starch kick.

I cant wrap my mind around the idea of bacon covered in chocolate. It's LUNACY!
There’s an Amish market about ten minutes outside of Ft Meade that sold chocolate covered bacon. Had a good friend in my AIT (army job training) that loved the stuff. He passed away, so I buy chocolate covered bacon anytime I see it just for him.

is it just the seasonings that make the jerked chicken or is there more to it?

I can’t say. She likes to take recipes from Pinterest and make them. It’s like a challenge to her. Maybe 16 years ago, one out of three would taste terrible but she was ok with me suggesting changes. Now it’s seems like they are all good. She makes a “special” meal about once a week.

Gotta be safe when it comes to health. I love bacon, but fresh sausage is my favorite. Like know someone who raises a pig and has it processed, that's good stuff.

LISTEN HERE, WOMAN....

DON'T YOU EVER....I MEAN EVER....SAY ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT CHILI EVER AGAIN!!!!!

GOT IT?????
Gotta agree with Windy here. Cincinnati chili (Skyline, etc) is made with cinnamon and cocoa and it’s disgusting.

@MoodyVol, would you be kind enough to explain the origin of jerked chicken and why it's called "jerked"?

I have enjoyed many cuisines from around the world to include the Dominican Republic. However, I have never had jerked chicken. TIA
