I am glad you posted this. People don't say it enough. I cannot speak for what goes on in larger urban areas, but I have a lot of former students who go into LENF. I do not want to think about our school with no SRO if there is an effort to remove them because our SRO is more than an authority figure. He helps us in so many ways and is active in the community, and our students look to him for advice.
We raised our children to respect the law and others, and the grandkids see LENF officers as being there to help them. One daughter and two of the grandkids live here with my wife and me, and I am grateful the grandkids haven't picked up on what is going on (5 and 3 YO) in the world right now. It runs contrary to pretty much everything they've ever been taught.

I appreciate that. It’s a toxic environment right now and is very hard even for me I’m just outside nashville. The tension is real and I’m fairly well known here from doing the job so long. People that use to talk with me in The mornings are scared to now. It’s okay it will pass but very stressful

trust me the people that hate law enforcement are not in the majority, supporters just dont get press coverage
