Culinary, Arts, Thread.

Well, I got a Brazilian a while back and that was akin to some sort of freaking torture that I would assume is worse than waterboarding.

My first time here. The wife has been here many times. We are on Canal street. You got any suggestions for things to do??
Go to Acme Oyster House for oysters (if you like them.) Go to Coop's Place and get the smoked duck quesadilla.

And go down to Dat Dog on Frenchmen St. and get Crawfish Etouffee dog! And go to the Spotted Cat for music if you like jazz.

Man, I wish I was down there.

Acme is on the list for tonight or tomorrow, it won’t be skipped over. We hit Felix’s, Evangeline’s, and Cafe Du Monde so far. The others I had no clue about, seriously, thank you very much!!

Never been there but a tour of the Garden District looked nice

I’ve moved all over the Southeast during my lifetime. I’ve always felt like the one place I wanted to visit in the US was the Grand Canyon. I was wrong, the food here in NOLA is worth the trip. If you get the chance to come here, don’t pass it up.

Go to Mother's. Don't let the line scare you, they move fast.

Just finished a big'O plate of homemade buttermilk cornbread mixed with pinto beans and chow chow, with collard greens, garden onions, yellow tomato slices and cucumber wedges. I'm gonna need to hibernate shortly.

We went to Archie Manning's place (because it was right behind our hotel) just to say we'd been there. We stayed at the Omni, and we'd walk down to Harrah's and go through the casino (air conditioned) and come out on Canal.

Man, we had the best time.

I always hit Felix's. Some good suggestions above. If you want to hit a cool bar, Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop. Don't let the Bourbon street address scare you away, it is not in the middle of the cheesy part.

Cochon is a good restaurant. The WWII museum is great.

Be not bothered by him. Keep in mind, he's just a comedian trying to keep a job. In 2016, as host of Late Night on CBS, Colbert was in the drag. CBS could've pulled the plug, picked somebody else to host. Trump won the election. Colbert began to crank up his Trump schtick, and the ratings rose. He has since fed that Trump schtick like a goose destined for slaughter to make pate de fois gras, and he's got better job security for doing so (at least while Trump is POTUS).
I thought he was pretty funny before he started all of his constant President Trump bashing and making fun of the man personally. Can’t take his crap any more.

@Orangeredblooded My mother in law and sister in law are watching the girls while I’m down here. My 8 year old called to tell me they were making a supply of beef patties for Father’s Day and my Birthday. Also getting
some Sorrel wine!!!
Want me to ship you a few homemade beef patties?
Oh my goodness!! Homemade? My mother makes them from time to time. No contest, is it? Have I told you lately, that you’re my favorite poster on here? Don’t tell the others.

When you can't think of anything clever to say to 95, make a scooter joke.
