Culinary, Arts, Thread.

I'm looking forward to seeing it!
Hope you like it as much as I did. Damon was excellent.

Started Spenser Confidential last night. Got about half way through and really enjoyed it so far. I like Marky Mark. My favorite character is his ex girlfriend. She's awesome lol.

@Behr
Just got the Red Woman the ninja foodi pressure cooker.
You have any experience with it?

we already have their coffee maker and air fryer. Ninja seems to do a good job at small kitchen appliances

I've never had anything Ninja except a blender at the restaurant. I've heard nothing but good about the brand.

I haven't had hardly any experience with pressure cookers period. They're one of those things I know what they're for and what they do, but don't have any hands on experience to speak of.

I’m a cool meat with fire kinda guy.
I too don’t know much about the pressure cooker. Red uses one from time to time and I heard her tell a friend she wanted this one so I got it as a surprise. She seems really happy with it. As for me….I’m really surprised at every this thing can do according to the cookbook that came with it.
If I remember correctly @vollygirl and @VolNExile were talking about this thing a while back.
Do you two have any information?

I'm hard headed with stuff like that. I was told and told about sous vide until I finally tried it. And I was right. You can have it and enjoy it. But I don't want any part of it.

Same with the air fryer, except I love it. Lol.

Maybe I'll try a pressure cooker at some point, but I probably won't. I like to cook and shy away from things that do most or all of it for me. I know that probably doesn't make sense. Lulz.

Just happy others enjoy theirs and they're cooking.

We got the ninja air fryer and now I’m an air frying fool.
It’s almost eliminated the microwave.
Lol

I've had a ninja blender for about 6 years now. I use it a lot. Especially the single smoothie cup attachment that came with it.

I haven't done a whole lot with mine, just because I haven't taken the time to learn it.

Yep, idiotically simple hard-cooked eggs where the shell never sticks. 5-5-5-5:
Put the eggs in the pressure cooker egg rack (keeps them from bouncing around and cracking) and add 1 c water. Set on High.
5 min to pressurize (varies)
5 min on High
5 min cooldown/ release, then manual release
5 min in ice water bath to stop the cooking (no green-grey sulfur ring)

Otherwise, I pretty much use it for stews and other things that benefit from low and slow braising, but only if I get started late. Usually I use a Dutch oven for those to drag out the torture of wonderful smells.

My pressure cooker is an 8-qt InstaPot Duo, so it doubles as an air fryer. I probably use it a bit more.

The thing about a pressure cooker is that even though the cook time is dramatically lower, you still have to account for pressurizing and release time. Also, you can’t peek, stir, taste, which is hard for me. My older daughter uses hers all the time though (they prepare the coming week’s worth of meals on Sundays.)

Lulz.

Why are you eating it? I assume it's a health decision is why I asked.
I have a friend that is a naturalist, and forager. I don't seek these things out but I do get opportunities to try things that I would never try on my own. what was I talking about????

Incidentally (does that word work here? sounds right, but I'm not sure), my brother told me he now does his eggs in his air fryer. I forgot what time and temp he said. I haven't tried it yet.

Yeah, I've spent alot of time and money over the past 13 months looking for something that would give me some benefits in the neurological area. Mushrooms in general are right after ashwagandwa (sp).
Blah blah blah.....I've been taking Focus Factor, ginko Biloba and making ginger and turmeric tea as well as some different B's and B complex in capsule and liquid form for a little over a year. I was taking lipoic acid too but I stop and don't remember why. I also take fish oil.

Just started ashwaganda Monday.

I eat mostly eggs with vegetables, avocados, tuna and other fish, olive oil and not much more of anything else.

I ain't skurt but Dementia runs in my family and if nothing else, all my reading and research is keeping my mind busy and I don't think any off these things are hurting anything.

I've "boiled" eggs in the air fryer, it works good.

I cooked eggs like a fritatta in there too and that works good too.

This week I've just been using a skillet. That's better.

Has 1 chocolate Moruga Scorpion, 1 Dragons Breath and 1 small Orange Copenhagen. It made a hair over 16 ounces. It was stupid hot Tuesday when I made it, couldn't really even taste it. Today it's has me excited about the next batch.

It has a nice deep heat and a nice fruity flavor. Neighbors love it. It makes us sweat without burning out mouth and being uncomfortable. Definitely gonna tweak and have a keeper. I'm gonna try to make it more red too.

Besides the peppers it has, white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, liquid smoke, honey, onion, garlic, blackberry jelly and water.20211203_120421.jpg

How do the ones in the air fryer peel? That's my fascination with the pressure cooker method.

Also, I made cornbread for the dressing at Thanksgiving in my iron skillet. After it was done, I didn't even run water over it, just wiped it wiped it out and put it back in the oven.
