And since the loser of the SEC championship game never goes to the BCS, it looks like they have UGA winning the East over UF, and then falling to the Credit Card Bowl after losing to LSU in Atlanta.
Assuming they've actually thought about how bowl scenarios actually play out, and aren't just making this up randomly. Which seems reasonably likely.
I'm kind of confused by this thread....
The general opinion I have run into on this message board is that we have to many holes to expect anything great this year....
Yet on this thread alot of people are implying they won't be happy with 8-4, 9-3....even 10-2....the possibility of 9,10,or 11 wins.....if it means we're not in a BCS bowl game
Could someone explain this to me. Either we expect to do well and are insulted by these kind of predictions or we accept that we have to many holes to fill and shouldn't expect championships this year....how can we have both expectations?
Easy. Some people write with their heads, some with their hearts. And of those people, most write with both, depending on the day and the topic of the thread. Do they take inconsistent positions? Sure.
Your point being?
BCS Championship Game: Louisiana Superdome - USC vs. Virginia Tech: VA Tech always finds a way to choke, how many times have they been in the BCS?.
Orange - Florida vs. West Virginia One of these could easily end up in the NT game
Fiesta - Texas vs. Louisville I think Oklahoma will beat Texas, the Big East is not getting 2 BCS teams
Rose - Cal vs. Wisconsin Wisconsin cannot beat Ohio St or Michigan, Cal cannot win the big game, neither will be there
Sugar - LSU vs. Michigan LSU has a good chance to be here, they will be playing the ACC champion here, probably a big surprise
Chick-fil-A - Tennessee vs. Boston College Actually I see Alabama here
Outback - Ohio State vs. Auburn Probably where we end up
Cotton - Nebraska vs. Arkansas Arkansas will win 6-7 games at most. Taking a MAJOR step back, Nebraska will be very good and could make a BCS run
Capital One - Penn State vs. Georgia This is where I see Auburn, Penn St is very overrated and Georgia will be up and coming
Gator - Florida State vs. Oklahoma Would be a great matchup, probably not going to get Oklahoma
Music City - South Carolina vs. Wake Forest Wake will not surprise people this year, Spurrier will have some tricks this year
Independence - Oklahoma State vs. Alabama Not happening, expect an Arkansas like rise for the Tide
Motor City - Central Michigan vs. Notre Dame Not happening, ND will qualify for a bowl and a much better one will pick them up. Expect them to win 8-9 and play in the Gator
blamie, I think most of us think UTK should do better given the talent level of the players at UTK but some of us accept the fact that that talent will be largely offset by poor gameday coaching when the Vols face teams that are in the same neighborhood talentwise. Hence, there is a legitimate reason to expect more while realizing that more likely than not those expectations will not be met given 8 years of underachieving history. Thanks for your question.
