Crystal Ball Prediction for UT

You may be the only one that does not look at me like I have 3 heads when I say that. I understand A&M is not that great, but my biggest worry for all the reasons you mention.

We are better, more experienced, and talented on offense, defense, and special teams than A&M is. Of course if we go out there and lay down, then yes they can win. However the same can be said of any SEC team including Kentucky and Vandy.

I believe these kids, 120, will blow Florida out. The gator O will not be much improved if any, they got worse, especially on their OL as their season progressed. They have a good D but they'll stay on the field under stress at Neyland and we'll work them over in the second half. After that these kids go on a roll, Bama is talented no doubt but they may come into Neyland with losses already and we get them. I don't know that it's Bama that makes the SECG out of the West this year. If we work UF over we don't take an SEC loss until the SECG representing the East. After that and who is there is a tossup for me, but winning the SEC East is crucial this year.

It's still the SEC. If you're not prepared mentally and physically, there's a chance you'll get upset.

Tennessee should have a good year if they finish 10-2 or better. For the VOLS to have that special year, a little luck will have to be on our side along with things falling into place at just the right time.

9-3 would be a huge disappointment. There should be no excuse unless if there are a ton of injuries, which even then there is so much depth this shouldn't be an excuse to go 9-3.

I'm not going to be unrealistic and say they should go 15-0 but I do think we go 11-1 with either a loss to Bama or a loss on the road to A&M or UGA. Those are the only 3 games I could see them losing. We should be favored in every game with the exception of Bama.

I think that CBJ will learn from the mistakes from last year that cost him games. Coach Shoop will have our defense as one of the best defenses in the country, and defense wins championships.

I believe the Vols need to put A&M away early to win that game. If it's close in the 4th quarter that place will be insanely loud. They also have some explosive play makers on that team so the Vols will have to bring their A game to win IMO.

That's what makes that 4 game stretch so difficult, it's hard for a team to play at their highest level 4 weeks in a row. Mentally that is a huge challenge.

Texas A&M is also another game that seems to be getting overlooked by many.. This is the one game on the schedule that worries me the most.. more so than bama and Georgia tbh

I've thought the same thing. It could be a let down game plus the fact A & M will be a better team than they have been in years.

I kinda agree, but only because they are getting more air time as the season approaches...calling it a trap game and that Trevor will be passing his ass off and hitting the so called best receivers in the nation....

He's not been the same player since his injury a couple of years ago. I feel a couple of sacks or pressure situations will cause him to play scared.

Of course, if Barnett was bearing down on me, I'd play scared too lol

IMO, we are not going to lose at Texas AM this year. Sumlin as a record of losing 2-3 games at home every year during his tenure there.

One of their losses at home this year will be to the Vols.

I just hope that whoever our LT ends up being is ready for Myles Garrett. Other than that, AM has a new QB and is replacing their graduated running back. Against our defense, I'll take those odds. Back to Garrett though...Barnett, Vereen, Phillips and Kongbo are much scarier in my opinion.

No chance.

We'll be either 15-0 or 14-1.

I put the odds of us going 14-1 at 55% and the odds of going 15-0 at 45%.

Anything less is zero percent.

So my bookie has the over under at 9.5 on the vols, what percent of your net worth would you be willing to wager on the over?

Why? Because its at their place? I can't understand why people once again think A&M will be any good.

We just have to bring our A game; nothing to be afraid of here and they have a great crowd like we do. Let our D contain Trevor Knight, formerly of OU, and we'll be okay. I'd say 45-14 Vols. Don't let up on the gas and let teams hang around.

A&M is the biggest concern for me also and the only loss I have right now. They aren't the best team on the schedule, but it falls in a tough place. Football is a funny game, but if by chance we get to A&M undefeated how do you not start looking at bama? Not to mention all of the energy and emotion to get through both UGA and FL. It's the definition of a trap game between 3 of our rivals.

1 game at a time and focus on your opponent. Unless we lose a lot of turnovers we should go right down the field. Take care of the ball and it will help take the crowd out of it; the crowd will be there for certain but just do what we do best--win!

just looked up the last time we played A&M was 38-7...is see a repeat on that score this year

2005. Last bowl game for me. Great game and A&M couldn't match up with us at all that day. They were beaten by Rick Clausen of all QBs.

11-1 is the best guess as well IMO.

If we drop a game it'll be either at Georgia or home against Alabama. We ain't losing more than one.

We're also winning in Atlanta and heading to the playoffs.

This can't be possible, in a couple other threads all you say is how CBJ can't handle the pressure and can't coach and will blow it for us in play calling and decision making and coaches scared and has a bad personality and should I go on???
