11-1, not too shabby at all.

https://www.seccountry.com/tennessee/crystal-ball-predicting-every-tennessee-game-in-2016

Projected record: 11-1, 7-1 SEC; First in the SEC East

Analysis: The hype has been building in Knoxville for years now. This is the year it all finally pays off. With a senior signal-caller and experience all along the front seven, the Volunteers are built to withstand the rigors of their SEC schedule. The toughest stretch comes in the middle of the season, so Tennessee will have a chance to get rolling, but should not be worn down. Additionally, the hardest games (Alabama, Florida) come at home. This team has expectations of an SEC East division title. Anything less will be a disappointment.

11-1 is the best guess as well IMO.

If we drop a game it'll be either at Georgia or home against Alabama. We ain't losing more than one.

We're also winning in Atlanta and heading to the playoffs.

I still got us going 15-0.

I just think 11-1 is the most likely record for us in 2016. Going undefeated is hard and odds are we might drop a game even if we're clearly the best team in the nation.

I'm personally predicting 15-0 cause I think our team is special enough to overcome even the most likely or logical prediction.

Texas A&M is also another game that seems to be getting overlooked by many.. This is the one game on the schedule that worries me the most.. more so than bama and Georgia tbh

Why? Because its at their place? I can't understand why people once again think A&M will be any good.

A&M is the biggest concern for me also and the only loss I have right now. They aren't the best team on the schedule, but it falls in a tough place. Football is a funny game, but if by chance we get to A&M undefeated how do you not start looking at bama? Not to mention all of the energy and emotion to get through both UGA and FL. It's the definition of a trap game between 3 of our rivals.

Count me in as one concerned about the aTm game.

It makes sense to point to the close losses last year and say "this year they'll be Ws"...but it's hard to overlook that, as well as we finished last year, those Ws were against crap teams (and it's hard to take NW seriously), and some of those games were too close for comfort.

10-2

I don't believe the A&M and trap game talk. Not with this team and coaches. Listening to the players, they all say the same words. They've all bought in. They don't run around saying we're the greatest thing since sliced bread. They all say, game by game. And we're trying to get a little better each day. I can't remember the last time I've seen the Vols look so tight, so together. I'm not saying it's impossible we lose. But it won't be because we are looking forward and not paying attention to the team we are playing that week. We could have an injury, or the bounces don't go our way during the game. But not because we aren't prepared or aren't paying attention. Not this year. I just don't see it.

I believe these kids, 120, will blow Florida out. The gator O will not be much improved if any, they got worse, especially on their OL as their season progressed. They have a good D but they'll stay on the field under stress at Neyland and we'll work them over in the second half. After that these kids go on a roll, Bama is talented no doubt but they may come into Neyland with losses already and we get them. I don't know that it's Bama that makes the SECG out of the West this year. If we work UF over we don't take an SEC loss until the SECG representing the East. After that and who is there is a tossup for me, but winning the SEC East is crucial this year.

You may be the only one that does not look at me like I have 3 heads when I say that. I understand A&M is not that great, but my biggest worry for all the reasons you mention.

9 and 3 regular season. Between VT, FL, GA, TX, and Bama, we win two and lose three. Win out the rest of the games and finish a respectable 9 and 3. If one of those three losses is to VT then we still have a shot at the sec championship and could actually finish 10 and 3.

Speaking of special enough to overcome logic. I kid. Lets go 15-0!
