So there are " many such post" of me calling CBJ a terrible coach yet you cant find one then admit you may have been wrong to suggest u said that.

The other things are simply fact, i sorry you see that as me not liking him or criticizing him unfairly or whatever point you are trying to make, but they are simply facts. CBJ record against ranked opponents is awful, the team never plays fundamentally sound ball for any lengtg of time. Player development as a wbole, has not been very good. While he has dealt with off the field issues well, he has had trouble managing personalities on several occassions etc

QB - i see you skipped right over the most important position on the field. Shows me you are not interested in a real conversation where you may have to admit im righr about something.


RB - Kelly looks very promising and played well last year. Im nog sure that proves your argument of having quality depth. Sure we have some promising guys coming in....that havent taken a down in college football.

WR - JJ has make great plays at times but has not been a consistent WR only netting a little over 500 yards last season. I love the guy to death, but he has some issues as well and not the dope, i dont care about that at all. Byrd looks great and will develop into a top player on the team. Callaway looked okay as well. The rest of the guys you mention have dont nothing, so it doesnt add to your argument of quality depth.


DE - Kongbo moved to DT and i hear he is staying there. The rest of the guys are unproven. Sure several show promise but if thats quality depth i think we have a different definition. But you cant be to hard on these incoming guys, replacing one of the all time greats and a guy that was solid only overshadowed by playing along side an all time great.

DT - Tuttle looks to be the best but is injury prone. KM obviously will be pretty good. However, my issue with your argument here is that all the guys you named played on last years team.....quality depth..no they are not. They may develop into it this year but we will have to see.

DB - i like the new coach as i am a Troy Calhoun fan. Yeah, he have talent there, had talent there last year as well and im sure we both watched the same games didnt we? Potential? Sure...proven quality depth...no way.

I know you want to make yourself sound smart by saying im glad i didnt list the other position. There is problem a reason i didnt that because i think we are okay there. However, giving QB an A- is a bit of a reach. No one on the roster has had meaningful playing time. I guess you dreaming up some grade to put beside each position category makes you a great talent evaluator.

Couldnt the same argument you are making, have easily been made last year and maybe the year prior as well? And well we see hkw that turned out.

Dormady and Guarantano are very strong armed, accurate top-tier quarterbacks with 2 years and one year respectively executing this system. Jones is probably every bit as good as the other two, and with an uber-successful QB coach now there to tutor them, well, let's just say it's dubious on your part to suggest I would "conveniently" pass on mentioning that top-notch group.

As for your rebuttals: Do yourself a favor and look up last year's roster, paying attention to playing time by numerous players...add into that the element of the new players who'll be developing throughout the season, then if you know the game as well as you purport, you'll recognize the vast depth advantages this team will have over its predecessors. Barring injuries of similar epic proportions as 2016, depth at every position is more than adequate to provide ample quality snaps at every one of those spots for a game's duration. QB was the first position i listed. The depth we had last year that you want me to go check wasnt good enough to beat a 5-7 Vandy team and thats with all our stars on Offense and DE. The people coming in may be highly touted and thats great, still umproven at this point.

I guess it depends on what one defines as a successful season. I dont see this unproven depth that couldnt beat an SEC bottom feeder last year raising the bar very high. But if 8-4 is your definition of a successful season, i think youll be about right.
