Also not sure if its been said elsewhere but apparently Marlin Lane has done what was required of him by the coaching staff and will be welcomed back

Me too, he looked like he picked up where he left off.

Dunno how anyone could say Hill looked "gross." Not ready to crown him all SEC but he looked good and the run game as a whole looked average I thought.
I think alot of the run game not doing well was because we were missing our human road grater'#74'.

Neal, Lane, Hill in a game day rotation. I'll take it.

I think Hill has earned a lot of playing time come this fall. I like his style of running better than Neal or Lanes either one. He's not as flashy or fast, but will wear on a team over 4 quarters.

Yep. If Neal played like him he'd be a top back in the SEC. You could see the defenders frozen wondering of he would cut or bulldoze.

I didn't see much of Neal in the second half, I was worried that he might have been hurt. King left limping in the second quarter, I don't remember seeing if he came back in. It was a great crowd today and as others have mentioned, the defense outplayed the offense. Both QBs looked a bit hesitant, but got better in the second half. Hill did well, better than Neal running inside in my opinion. The defense looked a lot more disciplined than anytime last year. The offense looked like it was still learning and was hampered by missing some important playmakers.

Just got home from the OW game. Drove 5 and a half hours to be one of the 61K in support. Just wanted to give a salute to all the VFL's that came out and showed their love today.

I never saw King come back in. Hopefully he's okay. We can't afford any more injuries at TE.

Looks like J. Smith held contain on that reverse to Pig H. shown in the UT Sports highlights.

Hill is Toney Williams all over again.

Both Backs left a lot of yardage on the field today.

am posting some shots from runs today. there were about 5 of them, (One was a short yardage so I didnt even bother bc we got the 1st BUT there was an opportunity for a 15+ yard run)
basic staple play where O line Blocks down and the TE Kicks out opposite DE, Holes are right off his backside off tackle. But our RBs either dont have the patience or have pre-determined where they are going to run.

I know Im being negative bc Im not celebrating a 100 yard day by our RB in a spring game, but It's been 3 years of this, and Im praying our RBs decide to trust their vision and Line and gash defenses instead of leaving Tons of yardage on the field on what happens to be well designed plays

Thanks for the pics. I disagree with you about Hill. He was very solid today and hit the holes well. He takes on contact better than any other back on our roster. IMO he was the only real bright spot on the 2nd team offense

Hill had a good day but it should've been better.

He definitely left yardage out there, but being decisive is better than not, even if you choose wrong lanes, at least you're choosing. I'd rather Hill's problem than last year of dancing around and always bouncing outside.
