I think alot of the run game not doing well was because we were missing our human road grater'#74'.Me too, he looked like he picked up where he left off.
Dunno how anyone could say Hill looked "gross." Not ready to crown him all SEC but he looked good and the run game as a whole looked average I thought.
I think Hill has earned a lot of playing time come this fall. I like his style of running better than Neal or Lanes either one. He's not as flashy or fast, but will wear on a team over 4 quarters.
I didn't see much of Neal in the second half, I was worried that he might have been hurt. King left limping in the second quarter, I don't remember seeing if he came back in. It was a great crowd today and as others have mentioned, the defense outplayed the offense. Both QBs looked a bit hesitant, but got better in the second half. Hill did well, better than Neal running inside in my opinion. The defense looked a lot more disciplined than anytime last year. The offense looked like it was still learning and was hampered by missing some important playmakers.
Hill is Toney Williams all over again.
Both Backs left a lot of yardage on the field today.
am posting some shots from runs today. there were about 5 of them, (One was a short yardage so I didnt even bother bc we got the 1st BUT there was an opportunity for a 15+ yard run)
basic staple play where O line Blocks down and the TE Kicks out opposite DE, Holes are right off his backside off tackle. But our RBs either dont have the patience or have pre-determined where they are going to run.
I know Im being negative bc Im not celebrating a 100 yard day by our RB in a spring game, but It's been 3 years of this, and Im praying our RBs decide to trust their vision and Line and gash defenses instead of leaving Tons of yardage on the field on what happens to be well designed plays
