Crowder hurt

Dylan Weisman is actually better...worried about who his backup is tho... Since he's been dinged up.

If Weisman is better why is he not starting, is he in the doghouse or some kind of rule violation. I don't understand that comment.

He's been dinged up and was earmarked for guard. Crowder is smart and functional at center and there were no plans to replace him. Physically Weisman is vastly superior. I think this is his spot...I held out hope that Weisman would be redshirted and we get three years out of him but he had already played all season.

Three reasons:

First 2 are that Weisman has been banged up all year AND he can play other positions on the line. When he has been able to play, we've needed him elsewhere.

Lastly, Weisman may be a better blocker at center when healthy but Crowder is more experienced and the center has a lot of responsibilities in calling out protections based on the defensive sets.

Make no mistake, this is an enormous loss going into the Missouri game. We have to hope and pray that no one else goes down.

Latest news from CBJ is that Crowder has a high ankle sprain and his knee is still being evaluated. It doesn't look good right now. The replay video showed his knee was bent sideways which usually means a sprain or worse. Keeping my fingers crossed for a good diagnosis. Also Sanders has a high ankle sprain as well. The OL depth is getting razor thin.

I heard that too. He also had his helmet off with a look of pure agony on his face. It reminded me of Al Wilson when he tore his knee up against South Carolina.

When did Al Wilson blow out his knee against South Carolina? I don't recall al injuring a knee

This is bad news imo.... Really hard position to replace... Especially having an already thin offensive line

I heard someone yell out (on TV!) during the play and immediately thought damn, somebody just got hurt bad. Sure as #@$& they were and had to be one of ours.

The crowd doing the wave while he lay there hurt was a very low point on an otherwise great night for TN.

God that pissed me off so bad. How inconsiderate do you have to be to do the stupid bloody wave while one of UTs players is writhing on the ground?

How about Coleman Thomas? Was he not a highly rated center coming out of high school? Mizzou could be a real problem with all their stunts and shifts.

I was screaming at all the drunk idiots in my section trying to start it and then sat on their butts instead of clapping for him as he limped off. I hate some of the morons including the passed out witch laying out beside me. They came to party and not to watch the game.

Here is something else that makes him difficult to replace. He is the quarterback of the offensive line and was in the Beta Club in high school meaning he is the Josh Dobbs of the offensive line. It runs in the family. His two older brothers played football at Princeton and Cornell!

Texted back and forth with Mack's dad last night and he texted me today. They think it's his MCL but final MRI results to be given at 4pm. I'm praying for him because he's a Helluva fine young man who has worked his a$$ off. Also...there's a reason that Mack's been the starter at C. Because the coaches (the guys who are paid to know) think Mack is the best player at the position. If CBJ listened to all the wannabe coaches on VolNation he'd end up in the unemployment line with Muschump.

I saw that... I watched him play in high school.. Seems like he has a good head between his shoulders. Hope for a quick recovery
