Dylan Weisman is actually better...worried about who his backup is tho... Since he's been dinged up.

Yeah that's what I was worried about... I didn't evenknow if Weisman was good to go... Just hope he is 100 percent... We need him big time

I've said Weissman is better but they are missing the middle push they had earlier.

Pretty sure it's Ray the freshman. Weisman is an upgrade as you said though. He's got Crowder by a solid 20 pounds.

I don't care about size so much with center. A center is about smarts and being level-headed for the rest of the offense to feed off of.
We should be ok but man we are down to near nothing on OL now.
Maybe Kesling has a year of eligibility left. Give him a break from the booth for a while.

We have a center or 2 , we have a whole pile of guards . What we do not have is tackles.

Our pile of guards are trying to play tackle this year .

Jones: "I'll know a little bit more about Mack (Crowder) later." Said it could be a knee. He's not sure.

JONES: Mack Crowder's been an individual who's improved and improved and improved. He's a grinder

What is his injury? It looked bad on the replay. It looked like he broke the lower leg or blew out the knee at the least. I'm afraid this is a pretty bad injury on a paper thin o-line.

That's what I thought too, but if it was broke wouldn't they have brought out the cart?

They wouldn't show a replay at the game . This might not be good for depth but its better than losing a tackle.

Whatever it was, you could hear him screaming in pain on the bottom of the pile the moment after it happened on TV. I think all of the lineman where knee braces as a precaution, so I hope he gets some good news. Sometimes it can be something like "just" an MCL or LCL sprain, which heals on its own after 4-6 weeks.

I heard that too. He also had his helmet off with a look of pure agony on his face. It reminded me of Al Wilson when he tore his knee up against South Carolina.

The type of knee brace that the offensive linemen wear are called "prophylactic" knee braces. That simply means that they provide mobility as normal, and they are only worn to add a bit more side to side stability for the knees. Unfortunately, when you get piled on sideways by a 250+ lb man, they aren't really designed to prevent against that.
