I am hosting a little party here on VolNation the night before the 3rd round game. At this party there is only one rule. You MUST eat the CROW.

The crow on tonight's menu has been marinating since July. It has been soaking in an Orange sauce for an entire basketball season. Now, on the eve of a possible Sweet 16 bid, it's time to prepare it and serve it up. And yes, I realize that 1 crow is not going to be enough. Luckily, Smokey has been busy all season long fetching them for this occasion.

This thread is designed for anybody who is interested to publically RSVP. In other words, here is YOUR chance to OWN UP to the fact that you jumped the gun too early and wanted CCM GONE before giving him a chance to get the job done this year. Your chance to OWN up to the fact that you gave up on the team way too early. By doing so, you will cleanse your soul of anything and everything "Nega."

I will be there. Eating my crow. Munchin' on it. I'm going to throw my Nega in the trash. CCM and the boys proved me wrong. They proved to me that I should have had faith in them. They reminded me that I should have been behind them all the way. They reminded me that I shouldn't just love them when they win, but when they were down as well. I should have attended the games when it got ugly.

CCM and the Tennessee Men's Basketball Team, please allow me back in. Please forgive me for saying you were not worthy of my money and time when you were struggling. That's not what family does. Please look past the fact that I let my desire to win come before my devotion to my Team.

That is all. This party is going to be great. It feels good to shed the "Nega" and once again be just a Vol. So who's coming to the party with me? Who wants some of this crow marinated in Orange sauce that Smokey has worked so hard all season to retrieve?

I will admit I didn't think Zo would win 1 tournament game much less 2. (UMass and Iowa) the stars have aligned for him to win a 3rd. I am not saying saying I am ready to label him as a dominate coach yet, but in this tournament he has done all he can do and that is win.

If the season ends Sunday it will be a failure. I've said from the beginning this team has at least sweet 16 and possible final four potential. Martin will have plenty to prove unless the gets to the final four. He still has to prove he can win with his far inferior recruits regardless of how long this run goes.

Sweet Mama, I'm just hoping no one starts a "So what happens if we lose on Sunday?" thread in the next 36 hours.

And for what it's worth...the Vols will win Sunday.

I'm happy to admit I was wrong about this team. I thought that Tennessee might go far in the NIT two weeks before the end of the regular season.

I surely didn't expect us to look like we have. There was no proof we could do it consistently. 2nd half offense v Florida scared me, as did the first few minutes of Iowa. We are still prone to reverting to bad habits, but are d'ing up right now and Stokes and jrich are playing with attitudes. As is McRae, but I feel we can lose with McRae going off but will keep winning if stokes is getting 20/10. If he's getting that, the other guys will be playing well too.
Happy for the players, CM, and his family. Just please keep attacking on offense to Stokes early or the rim and we have a chance to keep going.

Give me the crow drumsticks as I did not think CCM could get the team here. In February I really thought it was NIT at best. I can admit I was wrong. Pass the ketchup please.

I'm not attending. CCM has not yet reached my expectations for our TN program.
If he sticks around, I am expecting another "deep run" by 2016.
Maybe I have high expectations. It took him the "last days" for us to feel something great coming.

I am not eating Crow yet, but I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and laying off the criticism...he at least deserves that for the way they have played the last couple of weeks, minus 2nd half Fla...

We need to win this next game. Right now there are still 32 teams left. We haven't done anything incredible yet. With our talent we should be here anyways.

Yankee, I meant to tell you that your previous AVATAR, the New Age Spartan Warrior was Awesome...that was a very cool design.
