Another Vol Will Miss all of Spring Practices | Rocky Top Insider

Jeremy Pruitt announces linebacker Quavaris Crouch will miss Tennessee’s spring camp

Tennessee has a ton of momentum heading into the offseason as Jeremy Pruitt’s program has a winning streak only national champion LSU can beat at the Power 5 level and the program’s recruiting continues to progress heading into Year 3 under the Volunteer coach.

While optimism remains very high looking ahead to spring camp on Rocky Top, Tennessee has gotten some unfortunate luck in recent days as two of the program’s most talented sophomores will miss all of spring.

Pruitt confirmed on Thursday that linebacker Quavaris Crouch (shoulder) and offensive lineman Wanya Morris (hip) both had offseason surgeries that will keep them out for spring camp. The expectation in Knoxville is that both players will return during the summer and be ready to go for the team’s fall training camp.

Crouch appeared in all 13 games of his freshman season and is projected to compete for a starting job on defense heading into his sophomore season. In his debut season, Crouch finished with 28 tackles, one tackle for loss, half a sack, two pass breakups and four quarterback hurries. Crouch was a four-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting cycle.

Morris started 12 of 13 games his freshman season at left tackle after signing with Tennessee as a five-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting cycle.

They'll be back and ready to rumble.

Other guys will get lots of reps and get better too so this could be a good thing.

VFL...GBO!!!

Is that same shoulder that bothered him last year at the All-American game?
