He didn’t leave out of his love for Gump. Crouch, Henry, and Gray were all recipients of the Niedermeyer Ray Croc memorial scholarship. They’ll each get special attention if the NCAA pays attention. The saddest part is that the money usually goes to handlers, uncles and dads and never makes it to the kids. All three of these guys would still be here if they didn’t get the HappyMeal with the crooked uncle toy in it.

He is not fast enough in SEC to be a cover LB. He may ok in Big Ten. Crouch is not that big of a loss in my opinion.

Now I believe we're trying to turn a long snapper into a LB..

He is not fast enough in SEC to be a cover LB. He may ok in Big Ten.

It's not just his lack of speed, he struggled to read the offense, and took bad angles on most plays. If he'd had two years on the practice squad, with a competent coach, he might have made the transition to LB with a ton of work, but not in a summer with Pruitt and co. That was never going to happen.

He might be a LB in the Big Ten where teams still line up and run the ball like 1980s but he's not a LB in todays wide open offense. Hes a fullback in an era where few teams play with a fb.
