Noted on another site. Love this idea. Let him stay LB for his day job and part time for RB. We need an intimidating RB for short yardage ...and maybe more. Dial him in both ways like Carl Pickens.

During Tennessee’s open date this week, Jeremy Pruitt discussed Crouch playing at running back and what he brings to the table.
“The first thing is, he weighs 248 pounds and the other running backs weigh 205 pounds,” Pruitt said. “When its third-and-one or fourth-and-one, that would be an option. It’s something that we talked about doing when we recruited him.
“He rushed for 3,000 yards during his junior year of high school, so the guy can play running back. He came here to play linebacker with the thought that he’d have an opportunity on short yardage and goal line. He got a little banged up in fall camp, so we didn’t have an opportunity to work on that package, because you worry about ball security. It took us a little bit of time to get it in there, but hopefully moving forward we can do that.”

I have wondered why they didn't try that like Dooley did with AJ Johnson.

Around 10 minute mark, 3rd quarter...He ran for 4 yards for first down.

Impressive....

I told some of the fans that had turned it off about it and looked for it and can’t find it anywhere. I even looked for the entire game and couldn’t find it, but....that is the only part I want to see again.

Go to 14:38 in this video. Looks tough to stop. Hope we do it more.

See he says things like this and then says some really strange things

There’s got to be a method to his madness

Yeah I expect to see more of him on those short yardage downs. And if Maurer is the start, then you have a nimble runner to compliment him with.

Why does it have to be wild cat?

Why can’t we, for once, line up man to man do our job and beat somebody off the ball?
I don't care what the formation is. I was just talking about using somebody on both sides of the ball.

Pruitt isn’t nearly as smart or creative as Dooley. Just being honest. What I was hoping he would be is a all world recruiter and an amazing defense coach. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen much of either of those attributes
