I'm in my first week. I did the 3 bars of death yesterday, and I've never been this sore in my life. I did P90X, and it was a good system. But crossfit is free and I thought it would be a good option for some people on here. The program was designed for swat and special forces. You can tell it's pretty intense.

Crossfit.com.... They have a work out of the day. They also have a form that answers your questions and a FAQ.

Started doing crossfit 3 weeks ago and boy is it a hell of a work out. Today's workout is:

70 burpy's
60 sit ups
50 Kettle Bell swings (55LBS)
40 pull Ups
30 over head push ups

Its the intensity that you bring to the workout that makes it a ball buster.

I have a few friends doing it and they love it. Do say it's very tough though. Was thinking of joining a group in June

I was skeptical at first myself. I have my own workout routine and didn't want to get away from it, but nothing can match the intensity and diversity of crossfit.

Only reason I would do it.

Exercise like work must be done in moderation. Drink a beer and study the situation before jumping in. Then have another beer.

It's a great program. It is very flexiable. I will be starting up again after finals for the summer.

I tried it and didnt like it. Its intense, borderline too intense. I ran 4 miles a night and lifted weights everyday, but something about working out until you throw-up and cant move the next day, doesnt appeal to me.

I have a friend now that has to go throught back surgery at 28 because he was doing Sumo Deadlift High Pulls and screwed up his back. He wont admit it, because he is one of the Hardcore Crossfitters, but I'm still lifting because I use proper form and dont over-stress.

But to each his own

This is one of my problems with it. Doing 100 reps on Deadlift and stuff like that seems like an injury waiting to happen.
