Butch forgot that we are a running team very early on. Do not punt on 4th and less than 5 at midfield, lest you want to give Oregon free points.

Lots of money lost in that 1st half for our guys! Their push is solid even when only rushing 3. Zero holes in the running game. We got out ass whipped in the only area we had an advantage.

Oregon is stacking the box bc they don't have to even worry about Worley doing anything. The Oline is having to block extra D players every play.

So, you're saying they're dumb enough to play a system that CLEARLY does not fit their personnel, Worley in particular.

Think about that for a minute.

Ultimately what I'm saying is anyone who thought Butch was going to walk in a beat Oregon or even play with them in his first year is an absolute fool who must not have been watching us the last 5 years. Is he or the staff infallible? Absolutely not. Have they made mistakes today? Of course. I just do not comprehend the asinine expectations of some on this board. We are not good. A game against AP and WKU do not change that. I believe eventually we will be good under Butch simply by watching his recruiting...but we are still a few butt whippings away from being there.

Today illustrates the almost immeasurable gap between the talent on our team versus the talent of an elite team.

It will take Butch at least two or three whole classes before even have the bodies to be able to compete...and that's assuming we continue to recruit at a high level.

Sigh....going to be a brutal stretch over the next 5 weeks.
