Croom claims Lee's injury was a factor in loss to Vols

I don't buy it. He was running around pretty darn well in the 2nd half for a guy whose throws were supposedly affected by injury.

I was thinking the same thing,I don't remember seeing him bothered by it at all.

Without the injury he probably does not have to start chucking it all over the field, thereby wiping out the two pick-6s. Vols probably still win by 3 to 10 points though.

The fact that a Sophomore and a Freshman started on the same side of their O-line was more of an excuse than this. Weak Croom, really weak.

Croom feels the fire just like Fulmer does, and excuses will always be made in that situation.

Meanwhile the Vols lost their best receiver and offensive lineman in the first half.

But no, Lee's injury definitely impacted the game more than those others.

Sucks that he is making excuses for the loss, but he could possibly be right. I think we still would have won, but I doubt it would have been a blow out.

It's hard to be upset at him when our coach does the same thing. I think the main determining factor was home field. Not sure if we beat them at Starkville.

Croom better start winning soon and quit making excuses, or he'll be out of there quick.
