Yes, those two words together made me lol as well.

I do believe there will be a game this year against a over matched opponent that he will defy all odds and he will show signs of a legitimate SEC QB. We will get the upset win,it will happen and we will look back and think if only he maintained this level of consistency his whole career.
its similar to a pitcher with a 5+ ERA who pitches a no hitter who finds that one night to dial in and overcome his mental shortcomings ..

A villian more than likely. He will be the most hated QB in UT history. He will be the guy that "got Fulmer fired" by Fulmerites. I think it is fair to say he will never be honored at midfield as a "legend of the game".

Well, it is true. If he lived up to his "star" rating then Phil would be $6 million poorer today. Them's a lot of donuts. But I am definitely not one of the people who longs for the glory days of 2008.

That's for sure the recevers are just as bad a Crompton, but then again they might be just so surprised to see a ball actualy come to THEM they are too shocked to handle it!

No he won't go down as a villian. I do think it is fair to say he will pass into obscurity like many players do though, and I think that is kind of sad in a way. Yeah I know.. shed no tears for poor JC. I am thinking about it from the kid's POV. Even if you do hate JC, you have to admit he bleeds orange. I defy ANY of you to say there is a single player on this team that does not want to win, so by proxy they are THE BEST UT fans out there bar none. But JC will be thrown onto the pile of UT players long forgotten in years to come... and maybe that is how it should be.

I don't think "he will pass into obscurity'. He will be remembered with contempt for generations as the quarterback who led a good team down to the bottom.

J Crompton is incompetent... why would he not take himself out of the game if he is orange blooded... Why does CLK not take him out ? He is a senior...play for next year now.... this year is out of question......

No he won't. When I was in school, I remember Jimmy Streater apparently looking for linebackers to pass to. Nobody remembers him for that.. well other than me..:) Streater isn't even known much for the sad train wreck that his life became in later years. The good ones will always be remembered, although I think that Tee Martin will not be remembered as the QB of the national championship team in 15-20 years.. but Payton will ALWAYS be a legend here because of what he later became (Remember how many times he beat Florida??)

Because CLK knows this team better than any forum typing moron.. yours truly included. the "why would he not take himself out of the game if he is orange blooded..." quote is.. well... just stupid. Sorry
