Please remember that the PLAYERS are the oens going out there and playing the game...Not the fans...I understand his comment and do not take offense to it at all....They are the ones practicing and working out and getting dirty, The fans aren't...We just pay to watch them give what we hope is their best effort....When it isn't then some fans boo, it's their right as it is thier hard earned money they spent to watch it.

What did everyone think of the response that Crompton gave on the effect that the booing had on his teamates? It was something similar to " it doesn't affect us at all. We don't care or play for the fans but play for ourselves".

I understand that they should ingore booers. I know many of us UT fans are really dissatisfied with this years team but to boo them just doesn't seem right to me. We can comment, complain and even call for changes, but booing is just too cruel for me to do.

But the main point of the thread is, even though they should ignore booers, shouldnt they care somewhat about upholding the UT tradition and pleasing the fans in some way?

Trminton

crompton is one of the worst QB's i've seen at UT.

I may be in the minority, but the last thing I want is a QB that pays attention to the crowd.

I don't want him to pay attention the crowd but as much as we talk about wanting players who "bleed orange" I would think this upsets more people. I thought Crompton's biggest assets were his athletic ability, his heart and his devotion to UT. I realize that their are plenty of idiot UT fans that Crompton should not listen to. However, lumping the entire fanbase into that category was serious mistake. I doubt that Crompton has much support among UT fans and that comment pretty much guaranteed that. Too bad Crompton's mom doesn't post on VN. BTW, where has Fostermom been? I was terribly disappointed in Arian's penalty to start the game. He's a senior that's still making freshman mistakes.

how 'bout ole Crompton jumping up after he got the snot knocked out of him, and getting in the face of someone who didn't hit him? That was embarrassing...

I'm sure Crompton is well aware how badly they sucked without needing the validation.

I'd love to hear what you think is the perfect answer to the question.

Not so fast He says he thought he played good:eek:k: against UCLA! I belive he needs to be told when he sucks cause in his mind he is a Heisman hopeful still!!!
