people said the same thing after Ainge in 05. Yeah me may not of been peyton manning, but he did what 18-19 wins the 2 following years. Maybe Clawson is to blame from crompton.

Crompton has been here 4 years. It's asinine to blame a one year coach on the reason Crompton doesn't get it.

Heading into Saturday's game (TV: WVLT, 12:30 p.m.) at Vanderbilt, coaches said that Crompton will start because he gives Tennessee the best chance to win.

Guess Vandy and KY beat us. Crompton is still Crompton and has proven he can't play.

To be fair to him, it's not ALL him. He sometimes catches his WRs by surprise and hits em in the chest with the ball. It's so rare tho that they inevitably drop it.

Nice.

I say give him a shot. If he sucks, then BJ will play. I honestly think Crompton is better than he's looked this year. Bad coaching, bad line play, poor offensive schemes, lack of a running game have all hurt him.

He has to make better reads though, but I think a lot of that comes with game time experience.

He may be better than he appears, but he still hasn't performed all year. Why not let BJ start and give Crompton the number 2 position.....Coleman couldn't do any worse than the other two this season.

Yeah pretty much we have no chance. Unless we can get some helmets and shoulderpads on those ground hogs crompton is so fond of throwing too.

I hope Crapton is better than he has shown this year or else our program really needs to take a hard look at recruiting practices.

I saw 1 game where Crompton played (instead of Crapton--who we have seen this season). It was against LSU when Ainge was injured.

Crompton looked good in that game and almost got the "W"

That was the last time he looked like he had ever played QB before (or football for that matter).
