Crompton to Start vs Vandy

This whole thing is ridiculous. Crompton is the worse UT QB ever. This is the kind of crap that has eventually cost Fulmer his job. His loyalty to upperclassmen and certain individuals, regardless of their production on the field. He is determined to let his boy play the next two games. The only reason he put Coleman #2 is he knew people would throw a fit when they found out Crompton was starting and he thought this might take the edge off a little. I can't wait to get this crap out of Knoxville. Good riddance Fulmer and take your boy with you!

It's VERY possible that we lose these last two games and become the laughing stock of the SEC and the worst team in TN history.

Yeah, the two losing teams in my memory before this one, 88 and 05, would beat this team senseless. The 88 team at least had some promise. It was mind boggling how the 05 team managed to lose so many games. 08...easily worst team of my lifetime. I watch them and wonder if they even practice.

Well let the train wreck continue. Geez run gerald every damn play out of the g-gun. At least crompton will help the grounds crew with turning over the sod.

Might as well start him, more than likley going to have to start next year. never know new coach may be just what he needs.

You cannot be serious. Crompton's days as a viable candidate for UT QB end with the UK game.

Altough I will agree with you that a "new coach" is exactly what Crompton needs.

The coach at ETSU, for example. Maybe Duke. Cutcliffe works miracles with QB's, and Crompton clearly needs a miracle.

Go Vols.

wonder if the Cromptons have "damaging evidence" against Coach Former... cancelled checks, compromising photographs, etc... :dunno: :swoon3: :furious3: :bad:

Why is anyone surprised by this?
Did you actually think "Stay the course" wouldn't also apply to this??

Crompton has put time in watching film, working like heck on hand offs and 15 (uh 35) yard square outs to the cheerleaders. :eek:lol:

He'll be pulled mid way through the first half and Coleman will come in.
No, he will definitely not be pulled; at least not until the game is about 4 TD's out of reach. And make no mistake, CPF knows that BJ was Cutcliffe's personal choice for starting QB. Cut told him that Coleman was far and away the best quarterback at UT (except for Cooter).

I doubt that it really matters, although starting Crompton is essentially throwing in the towel before the fight starts.

Our offense stinks. Big time. On a scale of "beer fart" to "Limburger cheese", the UT offense is a dead skunk that's been out in the sun for a few days. Seriously.

Our defense has played well, despite Chavis' 10-yard cushions on 3rd down, but I honestly expect them to mail it in if UT gets behind by two touchdowns.

Looking at both teams' stats, I think Vandy grinds out a 6 point win. Maybe 3. I just think the game means a lot more to Vandy than it does to UT, and that will tip the scale in their favor.

See you next year.
John Chavis has repeatedly denied that he runs a "soft zone", so QUIT BELIEVING YOUR LYING EYES!

Watching Vandy VS KY, we know they can put up some points. Our guys are so disheartened that I expect them to hang double digits on us. The idea that our offense can score with any consistency and keep it close is the joke of the day.

It'll probably be a real tail-whipping.

That seals it... now I'm definitely going to the UK game. This drastically improves the odds of me catching a gameball (sec.V Row 15)
