Crompton hasn't done anything to solidify his position at quarterback. He makes fundamental mistakes and has done nothing but show me he's not ready nor does he have the ability to be a starting SEC quarterback. His defensive reads are way off, his accuracy is horrible, and he doesn't look off his receivers. If he continues to be the starter we are going to lose. I say start the other kid and let him get experience now so next year we won't suck so bad. It's time for a Tennessee quarterback contraversy.....Crompton has earned it.

I agree with you. This season is going down the tubes, and it is time to develop another QB. Crompton is subpar at best. His performance today against FL might be the worst ever by a TN QB against the Gators.

90% of UT's players couldn't start at FLA or GA.

Easy folks. He's going to study like heck and work his tail off to try to become a good qb.

My Football season is over...done till some changes take place.Ive been a Vols fan a long, long time and i cant say i ever remember us being this bad...we didnt deserve to be on the same field with the gators,..i was embarrased! It realy seems to me that our team trys, and i know our coach's are not dumb...but it looks like our players are not as fast nor as good as the competition we play....dont know the reason..but we look like we belong in a different league than the Gators...we didnt play like we should be in the SEC...I realy feel our Vols have hit the bottom...we have to do something,a change somhow needs made....Vol fans are the best, and they deserve the best.....were a long ways from that right now.

Fundamental mistakes have killed this team year in and year out. They either don't stress it enough or the guys just don't get it.

Is it just me or does our qb always look completely confused. It's like they grabbed a student from out of the crowd and suited him up to play. Terrible.

Our problems go way beyond Jonathan Crompton. There is no reason in trying to appoint one person as the scape goat.

If Stephens or Coleman were any better, one of them would have at least solidified himself as the clear cut #2.

We're better off with Gerald Jones at QB.

You know if we had lost by a TD or so, but come on! We don't even compete anymore. There are probably some HS teams that could have score as many points. It's PAST time for a change. Phil is way out of his league. If it gets us a change, I don't care if we lose the rest of out games. I don't want Phil to pull another rabbit out of his hat(GA last year) to save his job.

For those that question my fan hood... so be it. If Phil was a true die hard fan, he would see it is in the best interest of the long term program for him to resign, but then again it is hard to give up a multi million dollar job.

Crompton is the best we've got. And ripping him ain't gonna make him any better.

We've got a new OC folks. It takes time. Quit cryin.

He (Crompton) is on the locker room show. He sounds not one bit depressed, defeated, or disgusted.

"We just have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot."

Durrrrr....

If he's man enough to think he's good enough to play QB at UT, he's man enough to take criticism that he will never see.

He had the same demeanor in the video on here Wed. He looks and acts if he could give a crap about this team. If your QB isn't a leader then he shouldn't be QB.
