Don't use the word "bashing". He is not in any way attacking Crompton as a person, though many people seem to be doing that to the OP and acting like it isn't a problem. It's okay to joke around about a football player not playing that well. It's a lighthearted gesture at worst. Like I said before, get the frick over yourselves.

It's a sad day when you can't find anything to do other than rake these guys over the coals for things that happened years ago.

We have a whole slew of players and coaches on this team that need our undivided attention. WE will have plenty to gripe, complain, and curse about with this team alone. Can we please just let these guys go. Like em or not, they gave their all for Tennessee day in and day out.

Washington had a vertebrae fused in his spine playing for UT. Crompton probably was the most controversial player in the last 10 years. Foster has never done anything but play hard and work hard, both during his time in the NFL and at Tennessee. and Phil... I only wish that my son could have grown up watching someone love the university the way he did, treating the job he had at tennessee with respect everyday.

If you've really got to bash someone to make your day complete, Vol fans should bash Freddie Kitchens, Eric Zier, Tyler Watts, Tim Couch and other clowns than their own....

FACT: Crompton was the second worse QB in Vols history (behind joey matthews). Making death threats is uncalled for, But calling a spade a spade? But yea have always heard crompton lights it up in practice. Deer in headlights when it is game time

He was one of the top 5 QB's in the country coming out if HS who proudly chose UT. What he got for his trouble was the opportunity to play for a program that was in decline, for 2 headcoaches, and 4 offensive coordinators. He persevered long enough to have strong senior campaign, and to get a chance to play in theNFL.....but not before receiving death threats from adoring Vol fans.

So yeah....he deserves whatever you guys feel like saying about him 3 years later on the opening day of the football season. You certainly have nothing better to do, unless you have a bag of puppies you want to set fire to.

Try and justify it if you want. It's just low class.

This board is the biggest bunch of homers I think I've ever seen. You say anything negative about Tennessee, you automatically a) are a troll, b) are not a true fan, and c) need to 'gtfo'.

But it seems that homerism extends to each and every former Vol, too. You made this joke, so clearly you hate Crompton and want him to fail in the NFL. Just like you probably hate watching Arian Foster and Peyton Manning do so well. You troll. Kidding of course.

But seriously, ignore them. I laughed, because it was funny! :good!:
