Who would you say is to blame for the Crompton we saw from 2008 (and into 2009)?

I say that it's Fulmer's fault. Crompton went from one of the best, to one of the worst, to one of the best.
Had he always been terrible, and it was all turned around, it could be called Crompton's fault. But since he was highly touted before getting to college, I'm inclined to place the blame on the coaching staffs.

Where is the Clawson button? Even Clawson has abandoned that terrible offense, he doesnt run it at Bowling Green. We were his ginnie pig to see if it worked on the D1 level, and fail.

Well, if the coach is trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, it'll be tough to succeed.

Then things were made worse when he went to the carousel.
I already edited my post. More than everything, it was kind of a bad joke.

I'm not so sure Fulmer didn't have his hand in the offense.

A coach can't execute for a player, but at the same time you are supposed to be able to coach to learn from mistakes, not keep repeating them over and over.

Crompton went thru what 4 OC in his five years? Thats 4 different systems that he had to learn. It's Fulmer, but if Cutcliff didnt leave for Duke I think we wouldve seen a different Crompton last year, look at what he did for Ainge.

JC wouldn't have been UT's qb if Cut had stayed

of course he did. No way Fulmer would ever let go of play-calling duties to anyone not named Cutcliffe
Exactly. Nothing changes and it's the new guys fault. Then the new guy lands a D-1 coaching job and Fulmer can't.

Yes, because that unheralded QB at Bowling Green sucks big time, and every QB that Clawson has had under his tutelage has sucked....

Acutally, Clawson's system was way to complicated for Crompton. Clawson did not make the necessary changes to his scheme to help the qb out. Kiffin and Chaney, on the other hand, have done what is necessary to help Crompton perform at his best....limit the passing plays to just half of the field. An article came out about this last week.

I am by no means saying Clawson is a bad coach, because his results show otherwise. But he did do a bad job with Crompton, as you can see now.
