I don't get how some of you are so sure he won't get drafted. Being picked in the 6th-7th rounds isn't some amazing accomplishment. College accolades don't always mean as much as measurables or physical ability when it comes to the draft. Look at Matt Cassell.

This, and also, listening to Jon Mclain on 104.5 yesterday on the radio, the interview process pulls a lot of weight. Crompton will most likely interview well, even though he is a little goofy, he is pretty relaxed and calm in the spot light. Wow I can't believe I just said that about Crompton, what an amazing turnaround.
I don't think he's the physical specimen that many of you believe he is. His arm strength is adequate but not spectacular. However, he has poor accuracy on the deep ball and no touch.
So, just where are all these tremendous Crompton interviews that I've somehow managed to miss? I'd just love to see them.
I don't think he'll get drafted. He has the physical tools, for sure, but I just don't see a team overlooking all but the last 7 games of the guy's career.
I think he'll certainly make it into a camp and maybe even a practice squad just because the scouts will drool over his fastball, but I don't see him having a long career in the NFL.
1/2 of the field doesn't work so well at the next level.
Doesn't take a great physical specimen to be drafted in the late rounds. No team drafts a QB after round 3 expecting them to be a starter. His arm could be solid enough for a team to take a chance on him for a backup position or at least practice squad, which is what the late rounds are for.
The pros seem to have very short memories. Seven games might just be enough to wet their whistle. The NFL Combine will probably decide it for any team that is interested. Enough QB's with 2, 3 and 4 years of college experience have busted in the NFL so I don't think lack of college experience or success will keep him from being successful in the NFL. Good Post!
The only teams that are using the late rounds to find people for their practice squad are the cellar dwellers. Good teams fill their practice squads with undrafted free agents.
Kirk Herbstreet discussed on ESPN yesterday that he thought that the University of Washington quarterback made a great call by staying in school for his final year. The guy had actually contacted Herbstreet to ask his opinion too. Herbstreet said that he and Troy Aikman had recently discussed the fact that there is not a single established franchise quarterback in the NFL right now that didn't stay in school for four years. I would say that a lack of college experience does matter.
