No Leinart jokes huh? That wouldn't have anything to do with the fact he plays behind a fossil would it?I read about Crompton. I trust CLK he has been around some really good QB's many of them 1st rounders and very successful in the Nfl (no Leinart jokes please). He has been very complimentary about Crompton so far.
Last year is on Clawson's O scheme. I'm excited about this team. I'm guessing if Crompton sucks the first game he will get the hook faster than Gene Gene the dancing machine on the old Gong show.
I disagree. The previous staff liked Sullins and with the S&C improvements he may be seriously pushing McNeil.
To answer the other poster, McNeil has always struggled to gain and maintain weight. That opens the door when the coach is intent on having a real competition for playing time.
I'm a little surprised that McNeil is at such a light body weight....280lbs?!? That's tiny for an OL in the SEC. Wasn't he playing last year at around 295? Anyway, I hope he can add some bulk before opending kickoff this season.
Absolutely agree, since day one, weight has been an issue here. He's a workout warrior, but that warrior attitude seems to be confined to the weight room. While intelligence is needed at the center position, you have to deal with a lot of "beef". And this coaching staff is demanding the O-line have a nasty streak, not sure that's in the kid. Has OhioVol broke this guy down yet, would like to know his opinion on McNeil?
