Crompton had a great game, but...

I also think that deflected passes and interceptions need to be cut down or else UCLA will take advantage something Western Kentucky couldnt do.

We'll know a lot more about Crompton after Saturday. UCLA will throw more at him and be able to get more pressure, but I can't say many bad things about him. Looked like a different QB out there. The tipped passes happen to everyone. WKU was just in the right place.

It's a good move to blame the team you just throttled and not your own QB.

He doesn't exactly take it easy on the players. He also said Crompton needs to work on moving his body into better passing lanes. But yeah, there's a reason Crompton was never pressured and it wasn't just because of our pass rush. The DL was trying to stop us from averaging 10 yards per rush.

I thought Crompton looked 100X better than what he did last year. To me it looked just the opposite in that he was not staring down his receiver.

He did at certain times in the game, but he did check down quite a few times. He even used a pump fake a couple times. He looks like a totally different QB.

Did you see how much time he usually had? It's my understanding he almost ALWAYS looked good in practice. It is my clear observation in games where he has to make plays under duress he has looked...umm...less than stellar.

I once thought Crompton was the up and coming answer and was savagely disappointed. Fool me once shame you, fool me twice shame on me. I'm not giving Crompton ANY credit 'til seeing him face a real D.
