I, too, believe that homosexuality is wrong. I don't partake in it, but I don't go around throwing slurs at gays. Nevermind that, have you seen Larry Johnson's stats? He is not their best player anymore.
I don't approve of saying offensive things to people... I just find it ironic that guys can do as much as PacMan Jones gets one chance after another but making a stupid comment in the heat of the moment that happens to involve homosexuals gets a guy the door.
If the Chefs (spelling intended) were a well managed team then LJ would have been traded closer to his prime and they wouldn't have one of the longest runs of futility in recent history.
Limbaugh-
"I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. Theyre interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well.
Is that not a true statement? It may not be politically correct but it is in fact the truth. That is NOT to say that there aren't deserving blacks in both jobs... AND IF YOU HAD ACTUALLY HEARD THE WHOLE STORY... Limbaugh gave that qualification as well.
I think theres a little hope invested in McNabb and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didnt deserve."
Right or wrong he gave an honest opinion about ONE INDIVIDUAL black QB. He didn't say blacks shouldn't play QB or anything of the sort.
I'm pretty sure he has specifically praised some black QB's and coaches- Dungy in particular as well as Pittsburgh's coach.
"Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it."
And that isn't a true statement? How is it his fault when the NFL tolerates thuggery?
I've heard the guy talk about the NFL... He's absolutely passionate about it and has expressed the highest levels of praise for many players regardless of race.
His real crime is being unapologetically conservative when the NFL is televised by NBC, ABC, and CBS.
"Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of
wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?"
Need to see the context since this sounds tongue in cheek.
"The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.
Context is king. The NAACP has routinely instigated protests that have violent or confrontational aspects to them against people simply as a means to shut them up.
"Theyre 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?"
Context once again. I've heard the guy speak IN CONTEXT... and 99/100 his words are taken out of context and spun to the maximum.
For instance the comment that he hoped Obama would fail... He only said that after qualifying that if it were Obama's intent on turning the US into a European style socialist state he hoped he failed. See the difference?
Obama is more African in his roots than he is American and is behaving like an African colonial despot
Absolutely positively factually TRUE. The guy has systematically run rough shod over those who disagree with him. If he can't buy people he sets out to destroy them. If they don't agree with and cheer lead for him then he treats them as enemies of the state (witness Fox News). The WH recently put out a warning to Democratic consultants that they wouldn't find work if they went on Fox News. He is trying to regulate political speech on the internet. In the name of "fairness", he's trying to regulate talk radio out of existence.
His administration after promising to be clean and open is one of the dirtiest politically tricksters and secretive/deceptive.
The only administration that comes close to the sensitivity and paranoia about criticism... was Nixon's.
"Let the unskilled jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do that work."
Context please.
If this is genuine then I can personally show him how terribly false this statement is. They take the hard work jobs and work their way up. The greatest examples of what made America great can routinely be found among Mexican-Americans.
