Been said before, but him even getting to that point was way more than any of us thought he would do 12 months ago.

he was the worst multigame starter in the modern era. that being said, i was still rooting for the miracle that would be him making a roster.

Looking at their roster online, they only have Rivers and Billy Volek. If they were only planning on keeping two, it was going to be hard for Crompton to overtake a guy with Volek's experience.

Good luck to him, I am just thankful he is not under center at UT. I have never seen a QB that would look as good as he did sometimes and on the next play throw it 15 rows into the stands trying to hit a wide open WR.

This is hilarious. Every game before Auburn, he was horrible. After that and when he got drafted, he was great. When he gets cut, he is terrible again. Just wow...

Crompton was always horrible...some of you just have really short attention spans.

I'd like to see the ravens sign him to the PS. We just cut Troy Smith, and are only going to carry Flacco and Bulger on the 53. Crompton could be a good guy to have on the PS.

According the San Diego Union Tribune, Crompton will be signed to the practice squad. Coach Turner said in todays paper "I'm excited to work with him and see how far he can go". .
For the love of God stop bashing the young man, he gave all he had for UT. Until u can say the same thing, be positive and support current and former players as much as u can. Be a Vol for life.

Even if he doesnt make it on another NFL team, he can still make a living playing pro ball somewhere else in another league. He would probably be a star in Arean Football League.

Maybe he'll get picked up by the newly formed Tennessee Trash in the AFL. :) BTW, Crompton is still setting better than Ainge. Look where Ainge has himself at? Rehab clinic!

Ainge sucks because he's stoned out of his gourd half of the time. What's Crompton's excuse?

Once again proving Crompton is a workout stud. Put him in pads on the field and kaput. I was amazed an NFL team drafted him considering his game film while at UT.

Hope he gets it together at some point and proves his doubters wrong.

I bet the grass on SD's practice field was glad to hear this news, it was tired of getting abused by Crompton passes - zing!

I'm just glad the kid is not wearing orange now! Can't wait until his name and his threads are VN history.

I thought we were going to be fans of him purely based on his religious awakening? That along with rising from obscurity to leading us through one of the most exciting 2nd halves of a football season in recent memory must not take you too far with the Tennessee brethren nowadays....
