Crompton Cut

That's a shame for him AND it hurts Tennessee football. Hopefully he'll get picked up by someone else. There's just too many good QB's on the Chargers right now.

Not really. He got drafted; that's really more the selling point the university would be using anyways

All of you negative posters are probably the same people who sent him death threats. Y'all should be ashamed because he gave everything he had for this university.

All boards have some ignorant posters. We just seem to have more. Sad.

The whitewashing and selective memories of folks recalling the train wreck of Jon Crompton as QB is kind of entertaining.

Sorry, but he was remarkably bad.

this place is amazing. 11 months ago, almost everyone was repenting of their 3 year anger towards him. This isn't shocking, and I'm sad for him. Hope he catches on somewhere.

It was only a 1 year anger. Nobody knew how bad he was until his junior year.

This is hilarious. Every game before Auburn, he was horrible. After that and when he got drafted, he was great. When he gets cut, he is terrible again. Just wow...

What the hell are you talking about? Because he didn't make the team, Kiffin didn't turn him around?

Don't let personal hatred kill all your reasoning abilities.

Crompton sucks and blows goats... I don't care how many stars he had coming out of HS or the fact that he got drafted, he's simply a scrub who *heavily*
contributed to Tennessee's mediocrity for the past few years.. It's not an opinion it's a fact

The guy has talent and hopefully will be picked up by someone. I wish him the best of luck.

Unfortunately for Jon, Norv makes qbs worse. I'd say his shot is over.

A turnaround to me, would be to get a guy ready to play at the next level. Apparently Crompton wasn't ready.

Doesn't change that the guy underachieved or that he wasn't very good.

Dont' think he really underachieved, we were not the most stable program during his time. even with talent you need tons of training from quality coached. I dare say that, if UT had a solid foundation during his time,
regardless of teh HC, JC would have been a fine QB. He had all the tools out of HS. He just landed at UT at the wrong time. He was good enough to get a full ride to college and drafted by a pro team. Being cut he still gets paid.

Look at all the BS the kid had to go thru and coaches he had. And u still expect a complete tunraround in one year? For real?

You're right. Wins over Florida are the only thing that matters. There is certainly nothing else that separates the two. Manning and Crompton are practically the same QB.

One of us is being sarcastic and the other is crazy. Feel free to be the judge.
