I don't see him lasting long in that organization. Belicheck likes smart quarterbacks that can actually read a defense.

^^^^^
Butt hurt that "The Ice Man" isn't in the league imo

Practice squad minimum pay - $5,200 per week of practice. If you're on the practice squad the entire year (17 weeks), that's $88,400. Not bad money, but you can't make a living of it due to the 3 year maximum of being on the practice squad.

If I were him, I wouldnt care if I was a backup to Tom Brady. Id sit back, hold my clipboard, and rake in my 500,000 bones a year.

Ding Ding Ding! Now, whether he can apply that salary and make it last past his "playing years" is another story. He IS from NC.

I knew he had potential. He just didn't have the best scenario all 4 (actually 5) years at Tennessee to show what he could do. Last year though under Kiffin, Crompton finally came out and showed that he was a good quarterback. He didn't really have a chance at San Diego anyways. I hope he can step up and hopefully we can see him on tv some time soon. I've always supported Crompton, so this is good to hear

Any news on Ainge? Or is he still battling his pain killer addiction? I really thought he had a chance with the jets til sanchez came in.

Last report I've seen on Ainge was in August when he checked himself into a drug rehab center. Once he returns though he's subject to a 8 game suspension since this is his 2nd strike in the NFL.

I'm not a Cowboys fan but why would they not try to pick someone up like Crompton? I can't remember if the Pats signed Crompton before Romo got hurt but I don't think they've made any move to sign a QB. Kitna isn't even a good band-aid. Oh well, talk about a franchise in disarray.

just checked the Pats roster today and he is still on the practice squad. I think they make decent scratch even on the practice squad. And he gets to learn from the best up there. Good luck to him and hope he catches on with the main team next year.
