the facebook stuff really, really disappoints me. I can't believe some people would actually take time to bash a kid like this. i am a vol, but dang. do they actually think this crap will turn the kid around? People, really do, genuinely suck.

i totally agree that a lot of the fan base sucks.there is no rythm,reason or whatever for anybody to send a young man stupid mesg. like that.
now,if was a player i would turn off all my toys,facebook,cell phone,whatever else these kids have these days,until the end of the season.:ermm:

I really don't get the immaturity that comes along with college football fans. Especially Tennessee fans. Why bash someone that is not even getting paid. He is a student athlete.

How much is tuition, room and board, travel costs, etc.? Of course he is getting paid. He will graduate without student loans (major issue in this country). That is thousands of dollars in and of itself.

He also has received death threats....have you?

Not sure what that has to do with anything.

Did I receive a full scholarship with all stuff that comes with it to play football? No.

Have I said that he "deserves" death threats? No.

There is a HUGE difference between criticism of JC and death threats. JC defenders are acting like they are one in the same.

"JC had a really bad game, and appears to be on his way to having a terrible career at UT" and "JC should die" are on opposite ends of the spectrum from each other.

I want nothing more for the guy than for him to come out, put up 4 TDs, beat Florida, and lead the band. We could go 2-10 and I would still be happy since we beat Florida.

I'm just saying I don't see that happening as long as JC is at the helm.
