ahhh no thats why I asked. so you just have a problem with booing? ok lets say I am in knoxville and I run into Crompton at the mall. I stroll right up to him and say exactly whats on my mind, that being, "Hey Crompton. Man, I have to say, i've tried really hard to like you these past couple years, but you are just a terrible quarterback. I wish they would just give stephens a shot. I'm sick of being kicked around by every team in the sec, let alone the out of conference teams we play. Everytime you make an airheaded decision on the football field, it's directly correlated to my general happiness."

whats your feelings on that?

If anyone is watching the Bears play right now, it looks really close to how we played. Great D, QB has thrown 3 INTs. Thought it was funny watching Cutler play like Crapton

Dude i thought you had the funniest post I had ever seen on a message board but the past two post by you have just been to antagonize the situation, me and getyo were having a discussion no tude involved.

O now i can see why the boos would affect recruiting.. "O geez, if these fans are booing Crompton for this sorry performance, they're sure to boo me as I will strive every week to play like crap"

i was just trying to get to the bottom of you're problem with booing. that is, if you had a problem with booing or had a problem with anyone telling crompton thats hes a bad quarterback.

I have a problem with the booing. you want to tell a 22 yr old man he sucks he ought to be able to handle that.

I don't know which one of my quarterbacks is more frustrating, Crompton or Jake Delhomme.
I'm actually going to go against most of you guys who seem to be wanting to coddle the guy. He's CLEARLY shown that he can't handle big time football in the SEC. I'm not calling for morons to give the guy death-threats again, I'm just calling for him to get bumped down the lineup. He and Stephens were apparently battling for the starting job until not very long ago. So if they have a fairly close game to one another in practice, isn't it conceivable that Stephens could possibly be a stronger player in a game...mentally?
If their talents are pretty close in practice, why not give the guy a shot who hasn't really gotten one yet? He might suck, or he might blow up and surprise us all...we don't know. What we do know is that Crompton cannot get the job done.

It's funny. No one ever doubted who the boos were for. Not for the team. The team was ready. The boos were for Crompton because he wasn't ready. He apparently doesn't even know what color jersey he wears.

well yeah if you watched the game you know. besides a few missed asignments on the ol. and the de getting to far inside which will kill us next week if they dont correct

Just goes to show you people are Dicks on the inside. No matter where, when, or why. All of us have some sort of hatred for some people and it is ridiculous. Crompton was fine until about the third INT.....it just got ridiculous. He played scared and stared down receivers. he completed about as many to UCLA as he did to UT. I expect more from a senior. He shoulda been in his linemans faces motivating them. A freshman on the other team outplayed him! Our defense was in his face more than their defense in Cromptons face. Crompton folded, Prince didn't and he took some shots. Yesterday, I would have traded that freshman for our senior because he was tougher on that day! He stuck in their and led his team to a victory.

Booing is one thing and I don't really see a problem with that in the stadium. What I do have a problem with is Crompton getting death threats and getting stuff yelled at him while he walks to class. People need to realize he has a life outside of football and leave their boos on the field and on the message boards. Yelling at him on the street achieves nothing but make you an a**hole. I guarantee all the people yelling at him on the streets and calling his cell phone have never played a down of football in their lives. He's doing the best he can, unfortunately that's not good enough but for a player to get out of a slump he needs to get the bad stuff behind him or atleast leave it on the game and practice fields.

hey prince will be a player. he totally has my respect. played that whole came getting off his butt. Got his teeth knocked out and a broken jaw. still came out and finished that game. He's a farve

Crompton is absolutely terrible. He missed people wide open, consistently stared down receivers, and looked confused all night. I hope the coaches let Stephens become our QB because Crompton is embarressing to watch.
